 In MP, what race/class combos will you aim for?

For me it will be:

Krogan Vanguard (If it exists)
Turian Sentinel
Asari Adept
Quarian Engineer
Drell Soldier (If it exists)
Salarian Infiltrator

 Turian Sentinel and Salarian Infiltrator. Other than that I just want the Tempest and SMG scope...and I want to try the Widow, but still haven't unlocked it yet.

I'm still hoping for an Asari Infiltrator.

(IMO, if you ask me, it is weird and stupid to have only some of the classes open for some of the races. I mean, what's the point? Why not make it so that each race can be of any class?)

Because it wouldn't fit the lore ergo it wouldn't make sense.  Although with that said, in mass effect 2 I did see some asari running around with tech armor, so there were some asari sentinals, I don't really know the extent of their abilities because I only saw their heads blow off.

Rarity. By limiting the alien races to those classes they are mostly affiliated with due to culture and military doctrine, BioWare creates a situation where humans - who can play all classes - will provide the majority of troops.

And I do believe this "appearance ratio" is quite intentional. It's an old and proven cliché of fantasy and science fiction to have mankind - the upstart young but flexible newcomer - provide the bulk "Jacks of all Trades" rank-and-file whereas other races fill niche spots as specialists. Just look at Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, WarCraft, Warhammer (+40k), Lord of the Rings, etc. It will be similar for ME3 and the Terran Alliance's role in the setting.
