Come on guys, mp was supposed to be about fun... Who cares if everybody will die at the first wave? Or if you are the only one that will survive each wave, having to deal with every enemy? If you lose the match, you'll get the xp and the creds you earned so far, so just start again and enjoy the challenge. Eventually the lv 1 will level up, learn to play and everyone will run through gold like it was easy. No ned for hate... It's just a game!!!
It would seem not so much for some people, online video games are serious business!
Id hate to see some of these people playing board games with their family at Christmas. Actual carnage If they land on Mayfair with two hotels...

But who are you to determine what other people should find fun?
I know this sounds crazy, but a lot of people find winning more fun than losing.

I understand what you mean, but soloing gold with 4 level ones is not my idea of fun!

on mass effects earlier single player and other such games.
Maybe someone here can clarify just what is supposed to
happen in a lobby? If I log into a lobby and there is just
my character present, or mine and another character, it
seems to never fill. I've waited up to 10 minutes (usually
I bail at 5 though), no new people. If I end up in a lobby
with 3, we usually just try to go with 3 and pray that
someone will join for later levels. Sometimes that happens.
Mostly, we end up 3 manning to the end (that can be tough,
but fun on silver).
Are we supposed to wait up to 30 minutes in a lobby for
a game? It just seems faster to leave and requeue, hoping
that you get a full, or nearly full group. I'm on a PC, maybe
there's a subtle bug with the matchmaking algorithm for
that platform.

I think it's a Vanguard thing, OP.

BUT still this is a free game and anyone should be able to try out every mode.
I have yet to be "victimized" by an underleveled character causing a Silver wipe, but I would feel quite nervous about them as well. I've certainly seen enough people struggle with the challenge even on higher level characters - granted, in these cases it's almost always a matter of teamwork, but abilities and bonus stats help you stay alive that much longer.
On Bronze, everything is fair game and I wouldn't mind 1/1 players at all. If anything, I only try even harder because I want to show off and appear awesome to someone new to the game.
I also don't care what class someone plays. Vanguards just seem to be very "hit and miss" - some play them awesome, others die all the time 1 km away from the rest of the team, essentially making you play the map as a 3-man group. My first character was a Vanguard as well and I never noticed anyone leaving because of me, but then again I've never played her on anything above Bronze so maybe it is different there. Or it's just individual perception.

Lately I started playing with my female human Vanguard and in 8/10 lobbies I join at least one person quits. I'm guessing it's because I'm a low level and or a Vanguard because most of the other players are high level Adpets, Engineers etc.
What's worse is I'm only playing Bronze challenges. I'm a very careful player. In my last four games I went down only twice, but had to revive quite a few other players.
Is this what's to come of the full game? Snobs in every lobby just looking for other high level players of the classes they deem are worthy?
It's because you were playing Vanguard and your lvl doesn't matter. I noticed the same thing every time I get on my lvl 20 Vanguard.

The ultimate expression of hideosity. When people have an option,
they leave. Totally sensible. If a vendor needs money from you, you
get great prices since they just want you to do your business and
get out fast!

For my first ever MP match on bronze, I was fortunate enough to find a good team (all 3 have more than 20 N7 rating, level 10+ can't remember class). They probably thought "oh great a noob in the team." At that point I've already been kicked twice (I didn't even know what the red X was lol). I didn't know what to do or what to expect so I kind of just followed this one guy around and tried not to embarrass myself by dying too often
I do admit that sometimes when I see low levels <10, I think they're just there to idle and be carried.

I genuinely don't think anyone would want to be carried, I mean whats the point of that on a demo? I actually believe their thinking "What is going on here", not everyone can just pick up and play, it takes time for some people - but hey maybe thats just me
Scores, stealing kills, experience points and leader boards seem to be the most important aspects of MP from reading the threads on this forum !
I genuinely feel sorry for the new people come launch day

It's just I've played with a lot of people (mostly new ones) who just crouch in one corner and do nothing while the rest gets slaughtered. It's more annoying when you have 2 on your team doing that. They won't even bother reviving you, they'll just crouch and watch.Eire Icon wrote...

on topic: i did an experiment last night, i equipped the viper on my infiltrator and attempted to join 10 games.
4 of the game everyone dropped out
3 of the games i got messages and yapped at over xbl to use the mantis, i said no then the lobby emptied.
1 game was bronze with low lvls, and 1 high lvl he told me tht i was gonna get use wiped then quit.
2 games actually played with a full lobby

I agree, don't get me wrong I'm pretty good at the game at this stage, I've had it since it was first available due to BF3. My point I suppose is that in my opinion (and its only that) is that they're doing this because they're new and they genuinely don't know whats going on. When I started playing I was doing stupid things as well mainly because I've always used the power wheel in ME as opposed to the hot keys. I wasn't looking to be carried, I was just finding my feet. And I remember that when I see a newer person doing the same things.
One of the reasons why I keep defending the noobs is that I like MP and I don't want it to be a one shot deal. For allot of ME players they'll give it a shot but if they get nothing but grief they'll leave it at that. Logically I would say the more successful MP is the more time and money EA/Bioware will invest in it in the future. Also as a fan of ME, I'd like to see the MP gaming community come over to ME and discover the sheer awesomness of it (I'm presuming this is why they gave exclusive availability to BF3 players, allot of them will not have experienced ME before)

No, I'm suggesting that they don't actually realise that Gold is allot harder, and most likely went to a quick match and don't even realise its on Gold
I don't think anyone would go onto gold and get continuously slaughtered for the sake of some XP points on a demo.

If they dont have a mic you cant explain this to them, and you have no option but to vote them out. i dont want to type out a message every minute
