As much as I love playing the demo, there's one class that is far less fun to play than the others.

The Human Soldier.

his exclusive power is underwhelming. The other powers are unreliable, grenade being a hit-or-miss lottery and concussive shot being sort of weaker version of Throw, without the possibility to cause some side effects.

He has practically none advantage in his gunfire damage output, as all the weapons can be used by anybody, and Heavy Pistols are overpowered, so the caster classes have even a bigger edge.

He can't immobilize his target or cloak, so his sniping is harder than Adept/Infiltrator/Engineer sniping.

Give him exclusive weapons, 'overpowered' in comparison to the other, non-soldier guns. Give him "Special-ops weaponry" as a primary talent, with an option to choose between f.e a flamethrower or an OP assault rifle (short range/long range choice) on level 6.

Soldier is meant to wield the guns the others can't. I chose Revenant on the collector ship and used it for the rest of the game, because that was the only gun you couldn't have on the other classes (though ME2 Mattock is better).

EDIT: Also, the ability to carry more than 2 weapons is bs in the multiplayer, where ammo lies everywhere.

afair at ME you could use all weapons on every class as well... it was only ME2 where you couldn't. Soldiers imo were always underpowered compared to other classes, so theres no big change

but it required you to play at least once before to unlock the achievement. Also, ME1 soldier is not underpowered. The immortality power was a lifesaver.

Having a soldier-specific gun is more fun than adrenaline rush anyway.

You obviously didn't use concussive shot much.  Also, ME3's specific selling point is "every gun for every class," it's not going to change.

But I agree that human soldier is a little underwhelming.  Maybe another power use during AR?

You are doing it wrong. Human soldier kicks ass. Use concusion shot more and see the diffirence. And please use lighter weapon loud out to maximise the concusion shot usage.

Best class in the game when in right hands.

I made a Grenade spec soldier. Set 'em up with nothing but the Carnifex, max out 'nades and camp next to an ammo crate and start lobbin' those things cross-map.

However resupplying on grenades from one crate is a bit buggy, so I've learned to "make the rounds" on each map.

Do Soldiers get any bonuses in regards to weapons? Don't they get the same weight capacity as all the other human classes?

Maybe an added effect could be tagged onto AR. Such as stifling enemies with every shot during the duration of it. It would really emphasize the "suppression" aspect of the soldier.

You can make the recharge time of the concussive shot almost instantly. Almost every round I play soldier I come first place using only the avenger and concussive shoting everyting. Adrenaline Rush is pretty useless IMO.

I already dislike not having gone for concussive shot, the ability to add your ammo powers special to it does sound very amusing, and going with a light ar gives you a steady stream of pain

I hated the soldier, now it is the third class i manage soloing bronze with

I found the increase in fire rate from adrenaline boost to be quite effective, and the grenades are handy in a pinch because they don't have a cool down. concussive shot is nice to spam against normals - its only shielded enemies that the soldier lacks an ability to specifically deal with. Just carry a machine pistol and it will strip shields like anything - especially with ad. boost on.

Shoot and fire concusion shot, they get knocked back by it and can't fire back. :)
