I've had this happen numerous times on Bronze and it's kind of annoying. When I just want cash fast without taking the time to try to find a decent Silver team I'll do a Bronze match with my 20 Vanguard and just do the first match that comes up. It's just that a lot of the time when I do this we'll get a few waves into the match when I'll notice there seems to be a lot less activity than there should be and when checking who's in people have apparently dropped, leaving me with either just one other person or by myself.

I don't die or anything, I can make it through with just one person or by myself, I just don't understand why they keep dropping. When it first started happening, I just thought it was connection issues but when it started to happen a lot I started to think maybe it was me. I figured maybe they were those type of people who got mad that I was "kill-stealing" since I was zipping all over the map killing lots of enemies and they ragequit over getting no kills. They might also be newbies who felt that they weren't getting any fun or experience (battle experience that is, not character experience) when one guy is ripping through all the competition. So I kind of made it my policy to not use my Charge and Nova during the first 5-6 waves and only use my weapons and Shockwave. But even when I do that people still drop after like three to four waves.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening? Do people just drop in Bronze frequently for random reasons? Hosting problems? Do randoms see a 20 Vanguard in Bronze and figure this guy will just suck the fun out of the match and leave? Or am I just seeing patterns where there are none and I've just gotten drop happy people on strokes of bad luck?

My friend drops almost every game due to their internet connection. It's really a problem, but only they get it -- don't know if it's routing or their internet bandwidth. Just saying there IS some hefty connection issues out there, but that's probably not all of it.

Asides from bugs and connection problem (and we're talking about Bioware here, it happens pretty often), I think Bioware should make a clear message the first time someone enters multiplayer :

"Everyone is getting the same XP for finishing the round, you got more XP doing it at full party of 4, and there is a DAMN BONUS for full extraction at the final wave."

So honestly, you really don't have to worry abour kill stealing, seing some annoying comet vanguard flying through the map like the OP (no offense lol) or even finishing last.

Reasons for dropping:
1. Rage quit
2. Power shortage
3. PC/XBox/PS3 just exploded
4. Glitches like you cannot use any skills
5. Connection issues
6. Mom want's you to clean up your room
7. The cat jumps on your keyboard
8. An asteroid drops on your head
Probably even more if you think about it...

I drop regularly when I find out that for some reason I have only 1 power in my slot without the ability to pull them on it while holding shift.

Also, I drop when there is even a hint of lag, in this game even the slightest lag completely breaks all gameplay, more so than in any other game. And as this is a very primitive online game, without any text chat or the ability to see your ping before you join...

I drop out a lot due to my connection. I don't know why it does it because most multiplayer games I play don't give me any issues.

I'm loving the multiplayer regardless

I get a lot of "hosting player has left" or something like that. I think that's the most annoying one of them all because it takes you back to the startup screen with no experience or credits gained. Just had that happen during a Silver match. We were doing really well too.

I drop a match when I'm in a party of three and the other two people think I can take care of everything as they just crouch in a corner. The only time they move is when the enemy's flanking/spawning behind them. Seriously I think there should be some kind of penalty for idling in a match.

sometimes i get a "lost connection" message as well, but sometimes it's just like i'm in the game but nothing moves due to mega lag / connection lost w/o message. i never leave/quit games if everything with my connection is all right - and at all other games i never have lags or connection errors, so it has something to do with matchmaking or the bioware servers

I sometimes get the feeling some people don't know they get back in game as soon as next wave starts even if they bleed out. Had it happen a few times already that someone left game after he died because help came to late.

Had to quit a three man silver match today as I was glitching and lagging like crazy. Felt really bad but had to.

I've never done this on purpose. I always lose connection somehow or get glitched.

Yeah have had that too. I think most people who have played a while can tell that you probably didn't ragequit while capping a node was probably not deliberate.
