I like rolling with a scoped carnifex and spamming concussive shot. It seems easier to curve it around cover than most tech/biotic attacks. Grenades are great when enemies are clustered in a room together. I hardly touch adrenaline rush though.
That's more or less how I play it as well, though I bring my Tempest X for shielded enemies as well. Locking down an Atlas with Concussive spam often comes in handy.
The problem I have with this is that a Human Engineer with the same guns is strictly better. Drone to lock down the Atlas and Overload -> Incinerate spam to kill it faster, Overload against shields/barriers in general.

You need to learn to roll them, not throw them.Mettyx wrote...
Also frag grenades are horrible, just 2 and they bounce off somewhere completely of the mark.

I compared my soldiers stats to other characters of mine and found out that quarian engi has same ammount of health but more shields also both sentinels are stronger than him not mention Krogan soldier he is all around weakest class imho because he has to rely on gunning down the enemies but has poor surviveability himself.
Playing the class wrong does get you killed.

Yes, the Soldier can carry more, cos Concosive shoot recharges fast, so with Widow and Revenant it still need like 3 sec to recharge, except for adrenaline rush, it takes like 7 secs, but i dont use it any way, i rather have 3 claster granades and concosive shoot on the 6th rank.

I don't enjoy playing it as much as say, an engineer or a sentinel. I'm better at tactical use of power and such rather than being a crack shot with an assault rifle although the soldier is brilliiant for friends playing the demo who spend less time playing RPG's, more playing shooters.
Also, If I am playing a support class i'm usually jumping for joy when I see a soldier or a vangaurd in the lobby. I need someone to support.
All in all, i'll sometimes play a soldier for a change of pace but its not my first choice.
In tems of builds I would humbly suggest that points in adrenaline rush are points wasted, I've done best as a soldier with liberal use of concussive shot (I would say I use it almost as much as my standard weapons) and carefull use of the grendade.

The best benefit imo of Adren rush in ME2 was that it slowed down the game making for easier shots etc and due to obvious MP mechanics soldiers dont get this benefit of their main power and so Adren rush feels subpar to other classes powers imo.

Like I've said so many times, try concusion shot. That's the new way of playing Soldier.

Happens to me all the time with throw. I think lag is definitely the culprit since throw consistently hits it's mark when I host.Mettyx wrote...
Has anyone noticed that if there is even a slightest lag all curving powers like concussive shot and incinerate are completely broken, just flying into nothing instead of their targets?

If you compare a soldier to an asari adept, then yes soldier is an awful class.
It's only awful when every player has a class that uses Grenades and you are left with none, as they keep spamming theirs fruitlessly... Happened to me today. Grenades aren't MOST important, but they are good to have.
