BUG REPORT THREAD

- Game fails to connect to game for multiple attempts, then joins a game near-instantly.
- Game randomly loses connection to EA servers, kicking me and making me lose all progress in a match.
- Voice chat works very sporradically, has no icon to see who is talking, and is basically badly implemented.
- Not sure if this is intended, but the textual chat (supposed to be hotkey "t") does not work.
- Game lags badly, causing my character to bounce back and forth between two nearby spots.
- Direct melee hits on enemies do not deal damage.
- Game retains connection, but player (i.e. me) cannot deal damage to anything with abilites or weapons.
- When enemy dodges an AoE power (such as Singularity), instead of the ability flying where it should have gone and sticking, the ability dissapears.
- Kills that register in the ticker (bottom right) do not show kill/assist notification in center of screen and do not register points.
- Purchasing a pack but getting disconnected from EA servers resulted in loss of credits but no items given.
Those are all of the things I can think of now. As a disclaimer, I have a pretty decent 10 Mbit/sec connection that is reliable, and no background processes taking up bandwidth. The majority of the bugs I've found have been connection related...seriously, with as much money as you are making from these games, upgrade your servers or something.
If other people continue this thread with the bugs they have found, that might be helpful. Congregating the reports will make it easier to account for them, rather than having tons of seperate threads.
P.S. as an idea Bioware, maybe you could implement a bug reporting system straight to you, either in-game or through Origin...though Origin is a horrible piece of software as it is.

Joined a match from the beginning and could complete objectives, revive teammates, get hit and die, but couldn't see any enemies nor inflict damage.

- Smoke screen makes enemy impossible to hit with Krogan charge even if he is right at your feet.
- It close to impossible to do a Krogan charge at Atlas back, the hit willl not connect and most of the time you will slide to the side . Front Atlas charge seams to work fine. Every time.
-I you do a Vanguard charge on a engineer that wants to put the turret on the ground or use an ability like push or overload that knocks him back so he drops the turret on the ground. Even if you kill him then end now the turret will still turn on by him self . I think its a bug because normally we see Engi. do the omnitoll animation to turn the turret on.
- Sometimes the turren will bug and be invisible. You can dmg it normally and use skill on it but the only texture visible are 2 little lights, rest is invisible.
- Sometimes a bad doge of the ledge can bug you in to a wall.
-Sometimes second(follow-up) melee atack will not connect .
-Sometimes when you buy a second veteran pack in a row it will bug and don't give the rewards IF you leave the party after this happens you will get the reward window poping up before you see normal character window.
That's on top of my head I'm not writing about the many connection bugs and the like because I don't know how much of it is lag and how much is bad netcode

- Certain items with certain characters (Turian Sentinel + Dampeners http://social.biowar...4/index/9468949) gives you negative recoil.
- Severe Desync issues when too many enemies spawn at same time.(causing everything action wise to dont count, but you can see everything move properly.. including enemies and teammates.. you take normal damage as well)
- Drop system is severely flawed, sometimes despite having a full exp character.. the packs like veteran or recruit, give you exp boosts to maxed out characters. (in my case.. 4 times in a row to the same char.. )
- Heavy melee sometimes tracks the enemy correctly, othertimes it just outright misses and hits.. anything else.
- All-in-one button is severely flawed, reviving or activating something near fallen teammates or covers.. will constantly move you into cover positions and prevent you from reviving teammates/activating events.
- Melee of Phantom is severely borked.. despite being host, the sword seems to have TWICE the range it shows.
- On higher difficulties.. the spawn system sometimes gets ridiculous.. we had once 7 phantoms 5 atlas, 5 centurions..4 engineers a few shield units, 3 nemesis and a bunch of normal tugs.
we got slaughtered due of the engineer turrets + tons of phantoms.
this was on Silver at around round 6-7.
- Bots sometimes focus way too much on certain targets and ignore the rest..
particularly in Whitefirebase..
enemies ignore you even if you're next to them and they go for the guy far away (particularly if they are during the cover animation)
- Stasis sometimes blocks the effects of ice (and viceversa) which in turn seems to block headshots (stasis blocks explosive damage to iced targets.. iced target blocks headshots during stasis..)
- during Desync issues, you sometimes cannot replenish ammo. nor with ammo packs(skill), nor with boxes in the maps..

2. Changing characters while in lobby results in the new character having missing powers or abilities in-game. For example, the row of choices at the top of the screen is blank. Hotkeys 1-8 may have nothing showing. If one chooses another character while in the lobby, you must leave the lobby area and rejoin game in order to use powers, medi-gels, etc while playing.
3. Rarely in bronze, but frequently in silver playing levels 10 and 11 (ie, extraction) results in:
a. graphics glitches (stasis bubbles persisting, turrets persisting, etc).
b. Phantoms become virtually immune to effects of level 6 stasis bubbles. They simply walk right through them.
4. When uninterrupted, engineers use their omni tools to initialize the turret. However, if one uses melee or bionic rush, for example, to hit or kill the engineer, the turret will drop to the ground and self-deploy.
Not a bug (but bothersome):
1. Certain pistols are OP, especially in comparison to assault rifles. There are number of logical reasons that assault rifles should be buffed (or pistols nerfed), not the least of which is increasing barrel length equals a corresponding increase in projectile velocity and accuracy.
2. Sticky corners. Some corners appear to have magnets or velcro or a quantum singularity attached to them. Running by them results in the character suddenly being stuck. This has been an ongoing problem with ME games (and a inherent design flaw with 3rd person games. Yes, I am biased towards 1st person view.)

-Being revived exactly when a wave ends can leave you stuck and unable to move. Camera appears to be in a quasi-spectator mode of your own character. Hitting ESC and then resume game does correct the problem.

1. Stasis traps of Adepts decrease damage done to trapped targets by other players.
2. Items from equipment inventory disappear sometimes. First I thought it was an inventory wipe during server maintenance, but after a lot of playing I can confirm that seemingly random items disappear sometimes.
3. On high latency servers sometimes after dodging or strafing I got locked in 1-2 meter wide left-right warping every ~0.5 second. I could move while the warps were happening, and going in cover canceled it.
Some other notes:
- My client crashed once on an unplayable, very high latency server.
- I met a cheater once, can't remember his name, and PrintScreen didn't make a screenshot. He obviously used aimbot and fired the Widow sniper gun rapidly, like a pistol. There's also an exploit with Vanguards which allows to be immune briefly after a dodge.

Sometimes I have power nr 3 or no power at allmadpetter wrote...
I also found that if you change character while in a lobby you will only get one power (nr.2).
The other shortcuts in the upper left corner are blank.

-during heavy firefights.. activating your "Ops Survival Pack"(the one that replenish your hp and shields instantly) is sometimes severely delayed.. more than once I've died when I had half HP with a soldier and activated the Ops.. the Ops supply will be used, but you will STILL DIE...
happens way too constantly when using my Krogan soldier (no idea why the delay seems higher on soldier?)
also being in the floor incapacitated should prevent you from using any other items until you're alive (except medigel)

- During last mission, if you die right when the ship arrives to rescue you (during last 2 seconds..)
the game will freeze with the loading screen..
until and only until the host disconnects or quits.. the game will go back to the lobby.
no menus, no resume or any information about the full game will be visible..
*edit* to clarify, the game will still say you won and were rescued on time.
also credits were delivered.

- On ocassion my squadmates don't follow my orders during battle. If I order them to take cover or go to a specific position (q & e buttons) they just don't move. That's a big problem when I'm one room ahead and under heavy fire but they don't follow me and give me support. [AI pathfinding problem?]
- during a planetary scan, my mouse moves extremly slowly
Sound problem (German version of game):
- there seems to be a problem with the sound mixing in at least the German version of the game. I have selected the same settings for sound effects, dialogue and music (all 100%) but during the game the volume of each sound type seems to change randomly. At one point the music is too loud than it's not loud enough. At one point I barely can't hear the weapons sounds, than the voice is not loud enough, etc. I tried differnt sound settings (volume/dynamic sound, etc.) but it didn't help.

edit: And yes, I know that the thing on your back in MP is the rocket launcher, the shotgun glitch appears under it
