I'm disappointed too. I don't see the point of having this customization option if any skin tone looks the same. And about the turian facepaint, almost every turian have them, but they give priority to the Asaris. I can't understand it...

I understand the technical limitations of changing the skin tone with the way it is currently implemented: The color overlay isn't very sophisticated, which is why you probably will never see extreme color changes without it effecting the skin texture's own clarity. If you want green skin, it likely means green eye whites as well. It is also likely because they never intended you to use freakish colors not representative of that particular race.

My two criticisms are this:
1. Not everything on the character can be customized for color. It would be nice to see this in the full release.
2. Color choices are quite limited, particularly with lights and skin tones. Please can has hex color picker or HSB Sliders?

I can tolerate the crazy color schemes some people come up with if it meant I had full color freedom for my own schemes.

As much as I hate "But there's so rare!" arguments, that particular asari isn't just rare - she's entirely unique. 

There was a green skinned asari on Noveria. She tries to kill you.

As much as I hate "But there's so rare!" arguments, that particular asari isn't just rare - she's entirely unique.

Lighting. Even Shepard was green-skinned down there with the emergency lighting. Also note how Shiala comments on her unique gift from the thorian.

I've only unlocked skin tone options for the Asari, but their options are a lot less subtle than other races I've seen. I don't think they're all that bad. My Adept now has purple skin, I think it looks fine.

I was hoping for dark salarian skin like Maelon , it seems it'l only be a tinted version of "Mordin's skin color" D;.

oh that's depressing i wanted to make a grunt lookalike now that i just got one that i named Admiral Cheez i so wanted to do that sighs no grunt look alike.. but now i can play with Admiral Cheez and have fun bashing in people skulls.. wait... that did not sound right.... sorry cheez don't hurt me.

That's depressing. I've unlocked multiple options for literally every race except the one race I wanted them unlocked for - Salarians. Hopefully, that goes better on the retail version.

Same the only thing i don't have skin color for is Salarians.. I mean I'm hoping it's different for salarians but I heard it's not.

Yeah skins tones were a disappointment to me, although I do notice them on Asari, Drell, and Salarians. And the green on the asari justicar is really noticable. I mean its not terrible, its a subtle difference and keeps the character somewhat natural looking. By the way, does anyone know the CMYK or RGB code for the skin tone colors?
