When Mass Effect 1 came out, they promised a lot of DLC but were unable to deliver and I seem to recall that being a complaint of 'Long Time Fans'. Now Bioware's turning out DLC a quick as can be...yet people still complain.
Fascinating.

Honestly, I buy what they told us.
You might call me naive, but I trust in Bioware (the first company whose games I finished...yeah, I suck at games).
I actually find it pretty amusing that something like this is more outraging than the likes of Origin.
I know, the DLC trend is troubling etc., but Spyware on PCs? (I know EA changed their EULA and all, but still. Shows what kind of society this is. Spyware? Ah, no problem. Got a console. But when it comes to money and games, oh yeah, much more important).
You dont have to buy what they say. Hell...even i find it kind of shady and it reeks of PR.
No...look at their ACTIONS. In this case...it was announced IN JUNE, that it would be a CE Exclusive. So non-CE owners should be damn thankful that BW reversed their decision and are allowing SE owners the chance to be able to purchase it to begin with.

NO.
I've already paid for CE so the DLC isn't free and exclusive.

Much like the Origin debacle this will blow over in a week and the people complaining about it will buy it anyway.
The origin debacle didn't have top stories on news sites, and an enormously popular PC gamer pissing all over the practise.
Not to mention, Origin didn't charge you money. When money's involved, **** doesn't just blow over.

Bioware !!!
This is really disapointing, how a really good studio can transform to a pease of ****. I mean look at CD Projekt and Witcher 2. Look at Blizzard. These are studios with honesty and glamour. You became a shadow of what you were in past. Its sad, but its true. People curse on you and i dont blame them of doing that. You loose your fans eventually. You dont respect your fans and them will stop respect you !!! I studied economy and this is horrible marketing model.
So wake up Bioware.

I have no sympathy for gamers anymore.
I mean if I worked on something like that, poured so much time and energy into my work and then found out that 3 million people loved my work so much they decided NOT to pay me for it I'd be less inclined to provide them with such effort again.
So yeah....when gamers stop pirating stuff and take the high road perhaps I'll be more inclined to listen to their complaints about Origin and DLC.

No it didn't. Unless you're refering to Origin in general. If so, then the software was patched so that personal files were no longer being viewed. So the only thing that stopped that ****storm was a fix to the problem.

Its included in my CE, so its pretty difficult to BOYCOTT something that is being handed to me for free.
Which includes much, much more than a single character DLC.
Also, not me. The CE is so ridiculously cheap I can't imagine anyone buying the SE.
