Both Wrex and Grunt were closer to Vanguard than sentinel(if I remembered correctly).

And Wrex was - Grunt was pure Solider. Nothing biotic about him.

why would krogans need to be vanguard. their natural charge and melee is way cooler if not stronger then the vangaurd charge
Because those two things would be even better boosted by Biotics. It just makes sense.

Tbh I was quite surprised when I see there's no Korgan vanguard in MP, but there's a sentinel.

I don't get what's wrong with a Krogan sentinel. Sentinels are no longer the weaklings they were in ME1 where they couldn't even use pistols effectively.

Krogan Vanguard and Asari Sentinel. It's not rocket surgery Bioware. You got the race/class combo mixed up.
We've seen an Asari be more of a Vanguard than any Krogan. What's her face from Lair of the Shadow Broker. She never used the charge against you, but she did charge constantly.

Weren't there a ton of merc asari wearing tech armor in ME2? And then there was that one vanguard chick in the DLC? And Wrex was a Vanguard from day one and it's the most brutal, in-your-face class in the game which kinda' goes hand in hand with the whole Krogan thing?

Instead, give them a barrier ability that acts like fortification or tech armor and make it so that the ability can be specialized to either
A) Bolster the damage of the charge attack even further
or
Then they could have two other biotic abilities. Nova and throw come to mind.

A krogan vanguard would be nearly unstoppable. Gives new appreciation for what it would be like to go up against a battlemaster.

In the lore, Battlemasters are exceptionally rare but the lore hasn't stopped bioware before.
No more rare than Human biotics. Just because they are rare in the general population doesn't mean they are rare in the special forces.
People over 6'8 are rare, but not in the NBA.

Thank you. I was trying to think of a way to articulate this point.

If I could make one change in regards to classes, I'd switch the drell Vanguard and the krogan Sentinel. I think the latter is kind of a weird combo.
This. As soon as I saw the Krogan Sentinel, I did a double-take. Not that it'd be a bad class gameplay-wise, but lore-wise IMO Vanguard would be a way better fit for a Krogan. Krogan + tech expertise is just weird... it'd be an awesome character to role-play, but the MP isn't really about that.
Then again, I would've squeezed in a Turian Infiltrator as well.

While I don't think it would make sense to give them the actual charge ability (Krogans are not supposed to be fast...they're just not), I think it could work.

But Vanguard with no Charge is like a Krogan without quads. Doesnt work.
