(is there a choice when you get at the landing site?)

iirc, 5 360 copies and 5 PS3 copies were sent up and you get a choice at the LZ.

Thanks man. So the only question is if it's going to be a PAL UK version or a PAL DE version. German translation of ME1 was great, then EA came and well, ME2 was a localization mess.

It will be pretty funny if they release copies in German and they end up in France or Itally. Unless Mass Effect 3 has a language selection option that is? It might be alright then.

Not very good for people who play on the PC

The reasoning behind this is pirating.
I dunno how easy it is to pirate PS3/360 games compared to PC games, but that's what I've heard anyway. :)

Quick question for any of the devs, if Team Iktomi recovers Normandy, who should we alert and how? 3G coverage out there sucks, so posting about it here will be out of the question.

The balloon from the NYC area should be getting onto the sea, but it's the same as in Europe, you can't really say which wind direction will occur at this time. Just have to wait for the guys from the Weather Channel to do their job.

OK, I checked the weather forecast for the NY metropolitan area for tomorrow:

“Sun and a few clouds with gusty winds. High near 45F. Winds W at 25 to 35 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph”

That means if they launch from Central Park (just speculating here, but it seems the obvious choice), with the gusty westerly winds, it might end up somewhere by the tween forks of Long Island: Riverhead, the Hamptons, Peconic Bay or the Atlantic Ocean

Thanks for looking up the forecast! Yep you're right, should be those locations or the ocean. Worse thing is, that they're skyscrapers all over the area. Interesting thing altough. I'm going to track this tomorrow, should be even more fun than today.

PC thing is clearly. Pre-release date control. I don't think that they will issue copies without the origin integration and those with it can't be installed and played before 03/06/2012.

Would be really funny if the German copy ends up in France or Italy. Or in Germany, Saarland, I would be the first at the site.

Yeah, but that's only because they sent up one balloon this time (for some reason). Unless they cancel one of the balloons, it should be 5/5 per balloon :D

This whole event is funny. Best and funniest marketing gag I ever witnessed.
We definitly should consider preparing jetpacks or contacting Spider Man.

LOL.  You know, I didn't really expect a copy.  I was just hoping he'd have an adventure and be able to tell me Zaeed style stories about "his lucky N7 hat" or something.  :)

I understand that more people are at Outpost, but we still have the first-on-site crew at TA.

I've been monitoring her data feed, the position they have listed on the cliff is incorrect.  It looks like it may be easy to get. Need to survey on site, but I'm hopeful.

The skyscrapers are only in Manhattan. Once it crosses the East River into Queens it shouldn’t be a problem.  I live in Long Island 50 miles due east of Manhattan. I hope it lands in my backyard.
