well, why did you drive so far away from the LZ then?Sleepee wrote...
I understand that more people are at Outpost, but we still have the first-on-site crew at TA.

I understand. If I were there, I would wait until Bioware gave official coords before moving out, too. (TA had nicer bathrooms. Shhhh)

Yeah, you're right. Hope it for you! I also hope that the Berlin or London package lands in my are or backyard, but that's hard to say.Benchpress610 wrote...

Thanks for looking up the forecast! Yep you're right, should be those locations or the ocean. Worse thing is, that they're skyscrapers all over the area. Interesting thing altough. I'm going to track this tomorrow, should be even more fun than today.Benchpress610 wrote...

The balloon from the NYC area should be getting onto the sea, but it's the same as in Europe, you can't really say which wind direction will occur at this time. Just have to wait for the guys from the Weather Channel to do their job.
OK, I checked the weather forecast for the NY metropolitan area for tomorrow:
“Sun and a few clouds with gusty winds. High near 45F. Winds W at 25 to 35 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph”
That means if they launch from Central Park (just speculating here, but it seems the obvious choice), with the gusty westerly winds, it might end up somewhere by the tween forks of Long Island: Riverhead, the Hamptons, Peconic Bay or the Atlantic Ocean
The skyscrapers are only in Manhattan. Once it crosses the East River into Queens it shouldn’t be a problem. I live in Long Island 50 miles due east of Manhattan. I hope it lands in my backyard.

I've been monitoring her data feed, the position they have listed on the cliff is incorrect. It looks like it may be easy to get. Need to survey on site, but I'm hopeful.
Oh, awesome, good luck!

With how this ended how can you claim to be the "first on-site" when no one even truly recovered the package? Also BW is claiming they will announce via fb/twitter where we will all meet. Lets wait till then.

Quick question for any of the devs, if Team Iktomi recovers Normandy, who should we alert and how? 3G coverage out there sucks, so posting about it here will be out of the question.
Isn't NRMNDY the one on private property?

So even BioWare doesn't know where the NRMNDY package is? It was supposed that IGN had retrieved it. Funny, only the Vegas copies have been found and picked up, one of the SF is at an unknown location or private property and the other is stuck atop a tree.
Is landing on Private property a problem? Becuase I honestly can't see how the ones released in densely populated areas like South East England, Germany and New York won't end up on Private property.

I should remind you that the LZ was an hour away into the desert from the last GPS signal. Bioware recovered the package, not adventuring fans, and they've taken this long to get back into cell phone range.
The TA just has $.40 cheaper gas prices and a nicer parking lot.

Well, I don't think that will be a problem in the UK or Germany
