your not understanding me here, they didn't lose $1200 worth of games, they lost about 10 bucks in plastic. the data is what has value not the plastic dvds.

In short: Until you ACTUALLY see it has being launched, dont say a thing. You will only cause more and more people getting interested in following the Feed, but also cause them to get more and more impatient faster! because you can't find the right locations/weather conditions.

Well, they officially changed the launch date to 12:00 PM and they've gotten rid of the second launch.

Congrats everyone, the east coast gets two early copies! We should all be greatful for getting much less than everyone else...

Not yet! As I said, it's the PS3 copy, and seeing as I lack a PS3, the only other member of my group of 4 who owns one will be playing it. The other two will be congregating at his house, while I'll be grinding out an essay due Monday.

I asked him not to spoil it, but to tell me just how amazing the game was every minute.

The wind is not going to get any better. Kind've annoyed. I would've given this a shot but with only two games launched, I think I'll stay home rather than fight winds and angry north easterners. Just bring more copies to the landing site or something.

Final update on the SF #ME3Space recovery: After 2 days of attempts, both balloons have been deemed irretrievable. But Vegas was a success!

All they really needed to do is either find someone who has access to a cherry picker for the one in the tree... Or if desperate rent one for an hour or two.

It's not just the data, it's also the publicity.  People expected games in a contest in San Fran, but they got nothing but disappointment.  They expected the same in LV and almost got nothing but disappointment there when the equipment didn't work right.  It's like if you made a commercial for the superbowl, but the station accidentally erased the tape or something.  They put money into this, and it's not paying off as well as expected.  So they're putting less into it in case of disaster.
