Here's the projected flight path. Hope it doesn't end up in the water.

Wow, woke up a bit late and now there's 30 more pages to the thread since last night. What'd I miss Team Taco? Any shenanigans worth noting? (How many balloons they sending up this time? The callsign for the NY balloon is Krogan?)

Impossible.  Winds up the east coast most predominately head toward the northeast following the Gulf Stream.

Only time the winds go southwest is during a Nor'easter, and it would just whip around the center of the storm in that case.

NY Balloon got delayed and relocated due to winds. It just went airborne. Track it with this: aprs.fi/

If it lands in Brooklyn i'm going for it which is very unlikely.

Lots of wind, so they moved the launch (geographicalyl and time wise)

They launched about 10-15 min ago.....just north of Allentown in PA

Looks like it's starting to catch those upper atmosphere winds. If APRS is anything to believe, it's currently doing just over 100 mph.

Umm... How much speed can it handle? Is there a chance the actual package could get ripped off the balloon if it goes too quickly?
