If I lived there and had the day off, I would go. It isn't that bad. Only a couple miles of bushwhacking, and SF's terrain isn't too rough. That said the last altitude is much higher than the terrain (by a thousand feet or two), as the hills are only just over 1000'. There will be a little variance in the location for it due to this. Hopefully the big balloon will help spot it.

Note: I live in the PNW, where that is considered a kiddy-hill that is barely covered.
