Las Vegas is next, huh? I really want to get it too, as I live near Blue Diamond and Rainbow, but I have school at the time. Here's a website predicting where the balloons will land. It'll give us an idea.

well, they nailed SF pretty well, and its an Easterly path...so looks like that could be very accurate.

lol...just noticed the NYC one...they are predicting it will float right over Long Island and land in the Atlantic bahahah that would be awesome.

If anyone wants to form a group, we can split the copies. Figure they're prolly launching from Queens/Brooklyn/Manhattan.

Anyone here planning on going for the NYC ones? I definitely am since I live relatively close to the area.

Elmhurst (Queens) here.

From what I've seen of these launches there might be a chance this could drift into either New Jersey or Connecticut.

Sounds good. We should really (if possible) have one car set in the NJ border, one near the city, and the other one near in the CT border.

I'm in Queens, and can get to Stamford in around 40 minutes if it heads in that direction.

And don't forget your water Team Vegas

Especially if it lands in the middle of the bloody desert. <_<

Id prefer that over the stupid mountains.

Oh, God. Could you imagine if it ended up at the top of Charelston?

I couldn't imagine, I have never took a trip to Charleston. But with how ****ing cold it is now I am sure it would suck. Plus I don't think my Olds Custom Cruiser could make the trip lol.

I'm afraid it might wind up in the desert. My car isn't made for off roading.

Let's hope for CT.

According to the weather it seems likely it will be pushed east, which does mean Connecticut.

Well, depending on where it lands in the Vegas launch. I'm thinking you might want sum back up to that 4G.

How did they use to the land nav thing. in the old days?

where are the military peeps?

Here, but sadly there are no bases near there

Nellis Air Force Base isn't here? I could have sworn it was the largest Air Force Base in West America lol.

If it launches from Manhattan and goes east, it's going to end up on Long Island (or the Atlantic ocean)

Looks like Dolan Springs, right off 93. And they predicted SF damn close (even it dipping over the ocean for a bit)

From the look of the terrain map and the most recent updates, it looks like SHEPRD moved across a gully and then up higher on a hill -- that doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess it could be someone moving it looking for signal, but maybe the chute was caught by the wind and the package tugged free? Kind of a long shot, but the movement is strange.

It could end up north slightly which puts it on Long Island sound, so it could hit either Long Island or Connecticut. Hopefully Connecticut because Long Island can be much harder to get out to with traffic.

I even have a boat :wizard:

If that's true it looks like I might need to take my boat out after all... Unless those containers aren't waterproof.

Ever been there? It's like Mississippi if it was in a desert. About as hick as it gets anywhere.
