That is outrageous! Why is there no angry smiley? Well, in that case, could you organize something else? I mean, you were planning on giving things out, so you should still try to find a way to give them out. Maybe a treasure hunt?
That is the most depressing news I've heard. Can I buy it from you guys then? I'll come to your Parisian office if I have to. You can't just outright cancel it. Ugh....

No, the first person also gets a bunch of goodies and stuff (and I think the first runner ups also get some stuff besides the game). And it's also about the experience of actually hunting down the balloon and hoping you beat the rest, the excitement and all the good things surrounding that. Haven't you read what those who did the SF launch wrote?
I was actually planning on trying to find a way to participate, finding a car and a telephone equipped with 3G internet or whatever.
I am serious, Bioware. At least give another way for french players to get their hands on it. A contest where you draw random people, a treasure hunt, just giving it to the first french players who ask you for it (like me:P). Please, don't just leave it at that!

For those doing NY launch, I'm going to wait by one of the Long Island bridges to see if it goes over LI or heads towards CT/Upstate NY. Anyone doing something similar?

I know that area rather well, and the estimated landing zone has several hills between it and the launch site. To top it off there are no roads that direction. Make sure you all drive safe, and do not take needless risks to obtain this. The game while damn near close, is not worth disregarding your safety.
