I think it's a safe bet it is headed to Long Island.  I saw a weather report earlier today suggesting that Saturday is going to have HUGE wind gusts, so I am really hoping it doesn't end up dozens of miles off shore.

Question and I don't want to act like a buzz kill but can Bioware and EA be held for reasponsibility if someone gets seriously injured or dies and If not could this lead to a lot of bad press if something does go wrong? Am I the only one who feels is a terrible idea?

I don't see how Bio/EA get in trouble short of the balloon directly impacting something, and then I assume all the legalities and insurance have been paid for such too. But yeah, they can't really be held accountable for people's insanity/incompetence I think!

It would take me hours to boat past the edge of Long Island... Hopefully that doesn't end up the case. Once it's over Long Island all bets are off of it landing in the Atlantic.

I'm going to be waiting near the RFK or Whitestone bridges.  We'll have to wait to see where they launch it.  Have they annoucned EXACTLY where that's happening?
