Usually the wind direction you see in the weather report is for surface winds. Wind direction can be a lot different for higher altitudes.yoshibb wrote...
How do they figure this out? Like for the one in NY tomorrow, it says there will be winds 25-35 mph W and yet they have it going E. Don't winds effect it at all? Sorry, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to science.

You add more helium to compensate for the added weight. The balloon has to, *has to* reach it's burst altitude otherwise it will remain floating for days and days causing a hazard to air traffic, etc.
And, of course, no ME3 Space Edition.
