It's come down a little and it's slowed down. Only 23 mph at the moment.

seems like it might curve again into the sea?

yep, and its 62,000 feet up, so if its on a descent over sea....

If it suddenly turns inland again, then it's under some control, which is a bit of a swizz!

My guess is somewhere near Santa Cruz...I don't think it's got a shot of making it as far as LA.

If they're planning on landing it far from SF, why do they tell bay area fans to get ready? :(

Yeah seriously.  It's going to land in the boonies far from any civilized society.  I was thinking of attempting it when it came to my city but seeing how far out they're making these things land, there's pretty much no point

No, Bioware knows where it'll land. They have to send staff out there to make sure they know who arrives first.

It won't land in the middle of nowhere, and you can trust where they say it'll land.

its like hot air balloons, they have a team driving after it or station in different areas. they dont know specifically where it'll land, but they probably are tracking air currents and  such. I think theres no game on the balloon, they just have a tracking site giving false data and a team waiting at a certain point with an actual ballon prop

It would be extremely hard to control at that altitude... Unless they have a very powerful RC engine on it or something. But that means people could have been able to see when they launched it little propellers on it.

Costals winds might keep land bound but Bioware should have known if you release a ballon near the sea it will end there

Do we know when it's supposed to land? Or are we just supposed to keep monitoring it?

Weather balloons can stay up for days, so we'll have quite some time left monitoring

69,000 ft.

If you noticed the dots...they are MUCH closer together, right as it corrects itself to stay inland. If i had to guess...they are definitely controlling it.

According to this site: www.hobbyspace.com/NearSpace/index.html

It looks like we might have several days wait until this one comes down...

maybe to the point so it doesnt land in actual water since the containers i assume are under pressure and if they take damage from hardlanding  they dont want people opening it to hurt themselves
