Man these guys took an awesome idea and turned it into crap. Letting people follow the freaking balloon, putting them all in one balloon, not turning on the GPS, not taking there heads out of there butts to actually put some thought into this. I bet you someone in the conference room said "hey let's tie them to balloons and have people find them" and that was the extent of the research and thought put into it. It would have been awesome if you actually needed some geocaching skills, but nope. I was already packed to go with the GPS, the hiking pack, the climbing rope, my gun (hey this is AZ) and my Wrangler. This would have been so cool had they taken the time to do it right. But honestly the only thing this hugely disastrous marketing campaign did for me, was to give me the hankering to play Fallout New Vegas.
I actually did just start a new game of New Vegas, lol.
I live in the UK and in Wales not London so I can't take part in any of this, but it is fun to hear about what's happening. I kinda wish someone does a video blog of their search and posts it on Youtube.
