I believe they'd have to report to the Bioware Team on site for actual registration keys. I don't know, however. I'd imagine they didn't send up an actual DVD.

i hope no one took off with all of the copies like someone said was being rumored around, that would just be wrong
that would be painfully wrong. ppl would at least like to know what happened.
Morally wrong yes but not a bad thing since you could sell the other 9 copies for way more money then you could have gooten for the swag. This event is really stupid to have ballons randomly float around and hope people will play fair when they have very little inccentive to.
no...it would still be bad. Especially cuz you just sold your soul for 300 pieces of silver. Screwed your fellow fans...it's just bad juju all the way around. I wouldn't want that juju.
I don't think you sold your soul because it is first come first serve. I hope this teaches Bioware a lesson not to do an event as stupid as this. Having multiple people potentially fighting over a back of games could get ugly quick. They need a more controlled event to say the least.
lol. No, that's BS. it is. i'm sorry. if sumone went out there and hijacked the stuff, then they know it's wrong. period. it's wrong. if that's wat even happened.
And thieves don't get to preach to ppl. i mean, if you're gonna be a scoundrel, there's always opportunity. it comes down to you. is that acceptable? is that a choice one should make even if they don't get caught? even if no one is looking?
cuz they can make sum profit at the expense others. oh, yeah, great. we need more of that in this world.

My question is, if someone who did not agree to the terms and conditions of this contest happened upon this and just simply picked it up, and ran off with it, are they even entitled to the prize? they didn't accept the terms and definitely did not sign any sort of NDA that Bioware would no doubt (and rightfully so) impose upon them.
well as it stand they cant do anything... they cant sell them they cant play them due the ea servers need to connect to the game to let it play.

Coolest dad award, plz.
I know, right? He also built Bianca for my Varric cosplay, as well as Heartbreaker and Backstabber for Subitoallegra's Isabela cosplay!
I'm trying to convince him he wants to cosplay Zaeed.

I think the plan WAS to use APRS...but either the transmitter wasn't activated properly (or at all) or it was broken and not transmitting like they thought it was.

Short version -- the Vegas launch was delayed and so two loads were sent up with one balloon. It traveled a lot farther than planned, and apparently the APRS tracker wasn't functioning, so the teams are looking for it based on the emergency broadcast signal.
It's landed somewhere near Golden City, Arizona -- as far as anyone can tell. It hasn't been found yet. The last set of coords they have does not appear to be where the balloon actually is, and nobody's sure if it landed somewhere else, or if someone found it and made off with it before the retrieval teams could get to it.
As far as I know, people are still looking, and Bioware's in the area (and they don't have it either).
