i have installed ME1 on my pc Win 7: the playthrough sections goes very good, without any problem(some audio bug but nothing of terrible), but in some cutscenes there is a very annoying stuttering and lag for a few seconds(for example, when the prothean beacon explodes on eden prime it's like 5 fps, or at the end of the game cpt anderson rescues shepard from the destroyed council tower it's like 20 fps). I found this curious because i have also ME2 and ME3 demo on the same pc and they works very well. In ME2 there is only minor lag but nothing comparable to the crap of ME1. Do yuo know what the problem could be?

Not without specs and drivers...
Most common is driver incompatible with the game, gpu most likely. But it may be many others as well as a machine that just doesn't meet all the specs.

ME1 is horribly optimized. Period. I'm running ME3--ME2 before it--at a constant 30 FPS, yet ME1 continues to shut my laptop down at certain points. From what I understand: it's very CPU intensive. And for no good reason. Your CPU may be heating up from a huge process load generated by the game. That's probably the most likely problem besides maybe not having enough RAM or GPU driver incompatibility.
Other than that: try shutting down UAC, and/or your virus protection. They may be doing something in the background which might be affecting your frames.

Try locking your frame rate. Turn on vertical sync in game. Another thing you can do is open up your BioEngine.ini file located at C:\\Users\\[username]\\My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Config. Inside the file search for something called minSmoothedFramerate.
Change the default setting of 22 to 60 if you're card can handle it. One thing I've noticed is that whenever you are playing a cutscene, the FPS starts really low and goes up from there. Same happens with ME2. Low FPS causes stuttering, however, if the minimum framerate is 60, then it won't start at 1, it'll start at 60.
bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE
MinSmoothedFrameRate=60.000000
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=200.000000
Those are my settings. Although 200 is overkill, it'll always be 60 because vertical sync is on as well as the minimum FPS I have set for the game is 60. This seems to have fixed some sound issues I had earlier as well.
