Now let's just hope Bioware succeeds in making the ME3 finale as emotional and epic as Gainax did with Gurren Lagann!!

Some of the endings have some very obvious plotholes. Some might be "bugged".

from the anime tengen toppa gurren lagann. It's a very good story and the scale is ridicolous. It starts from two boys living underground and gradually makes up to mechs the size of the universe

The anti-spiral is the collective manifestation of the anti-spiral race.

They realized that unchecked and rampant evolution would cause the "spiral nemesis" (destruction of the universe). So they halted their own evolution. They then destroyed almost all intelligent life in the universe, and placed extermination warning systems on every planet to ensure that living species would never reach an evolved state of technology and become a threat to the universe. Once a species reaches a certain spiral level
(measurement of evolution), the anti-spirals exterminate them. They believe they are protecting the universe by preserving life

And never shall they! Image IPB

Should ME3 leave me dissapointed I'll just go watch Gurren Lagann again. It has lots of the things I like about ME (minus of course the interactivity), just on a ridiculously larger scale. I have to say, I had to force myself through the first 6 episodes, really liking only the 5th, but after that the damn thing just exploded with greatness!

The creators of the show were very good with Kamina in terms of character development

I think I speak for many people when I only continued watching after episode 8, just because I thought Kamina would be resurrected later on with the ridicolous concept of spiral power which had no physical limits. Though then we started to see Simon's character developping and before this point viewers haven't really thought much of him, and he eventually becomes so much like Kamina himself. At the end of the series, Kamina seemed like he died a lifetime ago and I almost forgot about him, but then you remember that Kamina lives on with Simon

The false protagonist move, and Simon's character development was very well done

Could anybody imagine how amazing the Mass Effect "anime" could have been if created by Studio Gainax? They did heavily borrow from Evangelion and TTGL, after all.

The finale to the story could been an hour and a half long movie that could read your save games and play umpteen different scenes out in different orders accordingly?

Next Mass Effect game has you hijacking Harbinger. You play an ubercharged, heavy biotic male/fem in his/her late teens (with a kick-ass sword) who must travel the universe, fighting evil and righting wrongs. You make friends, acquire party members, kick ass and have some good ****ing times. Also, you can romance blueberries great granddaughter. JUST ****ING BECAUSE!

Actually , all this is much closer to Inhibitors from Revelation Space saga. Some even feel like plain rip offs, hehe. But than again there are many things that look like rip offs in scifi, hehe.

I thought the reapers would be more like lord Genome and the beastmen beating organics into oblivion to save the galaxy from an even greater threat
