Ashley's automatically on the team. Wrex is my other choice but for ME3, I suppose I'll go for Liara for the biotics since Garrus is too similiar.

My overall "dream-team" would be Miranda and Liara, for my Sentinel.

Garrus and Tali, regardless of the game.

It was damn tough doing this in ME2 two though. Garrus was good against barriers, shields, and armor but absolutely crap against husks.

Tali was almost useless against everything since her shotguns got nerfed, she lost overload/sabotage, and her shields got nerfed.

I did it anyway though. At least for one playthrough.

Was planning on Vega and Kaidan, but then techie squadmate spoilers came. Now my canon adept runthrough is gonna have some problems without any actual fighters (Sorry James XD).

And he will always be Prothy. Always.

In ME2 I always used Miranda and Kasumi and in ME3 I plan to use Vega, Kaidan and Prothy.

My primary away team will be:

Ashley + Garrus - like in the good ol' times
Ashley + Liara - because she needs her missions too
Ashley + Vega - f*ck yes! Soldier+Infiltrator-Rampage!
Ashley + Tali - good ol' times with engineer
Ashley + Kaidan - ... oh. Not possible without hacks ... nevermind :'(

I think some people are misunderstanding my post. I didn't mean the squad that you'd be rolling out with at any one point in a game, but your dream squad of only TWO teammates (i.e. the usual). You can pick squaddies from ANY game (e.g. Thane and Kaidan, or Wrex and Vega).
