Pretty sure the cybernetics was a gameplay mechanic with lore built around it. Just like thermal clips. The gameplay mechanic called for ''universal ammo'' so ammo could be simplified. Then they built lore around the idea that the ammo is always in the gun and it takes a very long time to run out of ammo - but only a few seconds to ''overheat''.

It makes little sense - but just like being dead for WEEKS and brought back to like which is impossible - but it was not MEANT to make sense. You are only meant to just accept it the way it is.

Fiction *has* to make sense. Or it's bad fiction.

I'm pretty sure that Shepard bluntly states during the spar 'I will clean the floor with you if you step out of line'.

Shepard seems to be working James up in that spar, deliberately or not, hence why the younger marine lands some harder hits. He's taking his anger out on Shepard during that match. If Shepard fought to the limit of his capabilities? (probably speculation) I'm pretty sure Vega'd be a pile of bloody red mush in the corner.

About joker, right in one of the trailers for ME3 he bearly could get out of his seat to salute Shepard, but previously in ME2 he could actually walk, so what happened?

Just because he can walk doesn't mean he still doesn't have difficulty getting up and down, I think its to do more with shifting his entire body weight to his legs.

He's been cripple all his life, so maybe his muscles are still fairly weak and he's not able to stand up properly as a result?

You joke, but I have been wondering if down the road his "cybernetics" are going to play a larger story role, reapers taking control of them or them being reaper tech the whole time. Kind of far out there, but in my mind regardless.

No I actually think Cerberus used reaper tech. How else do you bring a mofo back to life?

I wonder if these "extra parts" shepard had implanted will come back to bite shim/her in the ass? ;P

Reaper tech doesn't necessarily mean indoctrination tech, so I doubt the origin of his cybernetics necessarily means anything. Although, that's only part of the equation. The real difficulty when it comes to bringing someone back to life is more in getting the dead body to live again and hoping the brain hasn't, well, degraded to the point where the person's personality and functionality is impeded or lost. Surgically repairing the body with assorted medical and cybernetic procedures is actually the bit where the uphill struggle would level out.

Besides, Reaper tech was also used to develop EDI. It's not like it's totally unadaptable. Just inordinately dangerous--like eezo mining.

I hope part of the story relates to it. Maybe there's a 'kill' commander in the implants that TIM tries to use in the final controntation?

Well, if TIM could have done that, he would have done it if Shepard refuses to keep the Base in ME2.

I wonder if the cybernetics will have a role in Shepards visit in the cyber-world with legion.

You guys are blowing the sparring scene out of proportion. It's obviously going to be a site for a Renegade interrupt. Vega is going to try to make a point, Shepard breaks Vegas nose and says "If you think the Reapers are going to fight fair, you're dead already. Go to medical, "marine"."
Bioware will give plenty of options to humanise Shepard, but under no circumstances will they force the players to game as "goody-do-shoes".

I think that symbolically Shepard is meant to be the 'Good' version of Saren.

Or, if you're Renegade, that Shepard is slowly becoming the very enemy he once fought against. In ME1 Shepard had the options to commit genocide on the Rachni, in ME2 s/he commits genocide against the Collectors, *spoilers*and if you read the List of War Assets thread Shepard literally has the option to commit genocide on the Geth/Quarian*spoilers*

:-D

But Saren didn't eliminate the rachni or the geth.  He used them.  I'd say Paragon Shep has a bit more to worry about, here...

I wish people would comment on your glowing eyes and **** if you play Renegade. I mean, you'd think people would notice... Then again nobody seemed to notice or care about Saren's cybernetics nor TIM's. So maybe it's not as uncommon as it seems.

*Shepard and his LI cuddle in bed*
LI: Hey, Shepard, has anyone told you how pretty your eyes are in the dark?
Shepard: ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.
