All said, the only renegade interrupts I hit are the one during Miranda's LM (Snapping the merc captain's neck) and the 3rd one during Thane's LM ("Give me a name or I'll cut your balls off and sell them to a krogan!).

I have four playthroughs so far. All of them were paragons. One pure paragon (with a few accidental renegade points). I also have 2 paragrades with different classes and some differences in big decisions. And I've just finished my canon Shepard character just before ME3 (male, earth born, war hero, soldier) who's the kind of tough soldier type of guy who does not take it easily if someone ****s with him and is generally high tempered but with a strict sense of honor and in private being a loyal and generally understanding person who cares about others and about the fate of the galaxy and all of its races. Loyal to the Alliance and more or less to the Council as well and hates and contempts Cerberus and TIM.

Never been the romantic type (this particular Shep), but I just found the love plot with Tali amusing because of the whole young alien "princess" having a crush on and later falling in love with the bad ass warrior-hero guy, so I took her as a love interest for this Shep.

Saved the Council and the Destiny Ascension. Never really liked the Council myself, but I thought that they were an important symbol of galactic unity and stability and that their support would mean the support of all the council races later on. I took down Saren with Garrus and Wrex by making him commit suicide by renegade persuaison - Seeing Wrex taking the vengeful shot in Sarren's head after he fell, and hearing Garrus as telling Shep via his radio that "He's dead." with that pinch of pity and contempt in his voice was one of the most amazing and epic moments of the whole saga so far, to me at least.

Saved the Rachni queen and helped the Noverian science team in finding the antidote for the bio-weapon (didn't kill any of them, except the Asari assassin). I also made Anoleis arrested at the port.

Helped reestablishing Zhu's Hope's supplies and safety and  saved all the colonists on Ferros, though I kicked Exo Geni in the butt, and killed that corporate idiot, Jeong. I spared Shiala.

In Virmire I certainly convinced Wrex to let the whole genophage issue go for a while and to come along. I spared the assari and saved the salarian prisoner, though killed the indoctrinated ones out of pity. I supported and saved Kirrahe and his STG recon team and chose Kaidan to save instead of Ashley who was arming the nuke (it was a real sacrafice because I like her character and backstory and think that she could make a good partner of Shepard).

I chose Anderson as the human Councilor and made him kick Udina's ass after he betrayed the cause and the team for petty political ambitions.

I killed Fist.

My playthrough was a completionist one - mostly paragon (finished all N7 and specter missions and collected every artifact and mineral deposit possible).

In ME2 I destroyed the Collector Base and made TIM **** off big time. The whole team and crew made it through the final mission.

Specter status: reinstated.

Legion: Kept and activated. I destroyed the Geth heretics though. I don't trust them (who betrays one once, can do it again), and I found the rewriting unethical.

Mordin: Spared Maelon and kept his research data. Burnt the smart ass Krogan.

Jacob: Made his father arrested and the crew of the ship evacuated by the Alliance.

Miranda: Didn't let Miranda kill Nicket and encouraged her to introduce herself to her sister.

Samara: Killed the eclipse merc. during her recruitment and gave the officer all the evidence I found against the volus merchant. Made the biotic god go and take a nap. Killed Morinth.

Thane: Saved the salarian workers. Intimidated but spared the eclipse merc. The interogation went smoothly on the Citadell without using physical abuse, only intimidation. Mouse kept his incognito. Saved the Turian anti-Human politican.

Jack: Convinced Jack to let go of her past by sparing her once fellow sufferer.

Garrus: Didn't let him be too hard on "Fade" and convinced him not to kill Sidonis.

Kasumi: Took the risk and kept the data on the greybox. It could be some important intel even if it holds a possible incriminating evidnce against the Alliance military.

Zaeed: Kicked his butt and forced him to save the workers of the compound and to put his old grudges aside for the mission.

Grunt: Some nice renegade moments here and killed the Tresher Maw.

Thali: Saved Khal Reagar and sent Veetor back to the Flotilla. Saved Tali's butt by a nice and sound renegade speech and tried to convince the Quarians not to go to war with the Geth.

Miranda vs Jack and Tali vs. Legion both paragon speeches.

Finished all the N7 missions (sent the cerberus recon to the Alliance). Saved David Archer in Overlord. Took the Prothean sphere. Made every possible upgrades and gathered tons of minerals.

I have two "main" characters :

Paragon guy, a lot of Paragon decisions but not a pushover, sometimes take the renegade option.

Renegade guy, end justify the means kind of guy, will go for the renegade option every time it seems to be quicker or better, never goes violent or antagonize a character without a gain.

Going all Paragon or all Renegade never seemed to coalesce in a coherent character as far as I'm concerned.

The one thing I wanted to do but just to see how it would go but couldn't find the energy to play is a totally pro human kind of guy (terran, help his gang buddies, supports Terra Firma, Cerberus fan, etc...).

I have three of each. Always play the paragon first. Renegade playthroughs are rough for me. A couple of mine kind of choose either option depending on how I feel at the moment.

I ended Me2 with 80% renegade, 20% paragon, quite exactly. I didn't have enough renegade points to solve the dispute between Tali and Legion during the actual conversation, but I had enough to regain Legion's loyalty after siding with Tali initially.

I much prefer most renegade options to paragon, because they lend to an image of someone who is willing to do (mostly) what's necessary to get results. For me this is the most realistic character for someone of Shepard's status. My Shep is basically just an uncompromising hardass, but by no means an evil person. If there was ever a renegade choice that clearly pointed to something that was just plain wrong, then I never took it. Sure I snapped a guy's neck and pushed a merc out a window, but I saved innocents when possible and was never violent against anyone that didn't point a gun at me.

Well, except for that poor guy in Thane's loyalty mission. My Shep beat the snot out of him during interrogation... lol.

this isnt what i was expecting, cuz renegate is so damn awesome, and some of paragon options are just boring...
didnt expect to see so many paragons...

Renegade. With a D.

And people play paragon/paragade/renegon because they feel that's the best way to play. Admittedly, you're shafting yourself by tying to 1 bar.

of course i dont do just renegate, for eg:
i go paragon with ash, kelly, ken but renegate is the best...

Full Paragon. If you're a living God , then you might as well set an example.

Mostly paragon because it fits me well and makes me feel better. Punching Zaeed in his loyalty mission was awesome.

Paragon-paragade.

Mostly do Renegade stuff I deem it absolutely necessary for survival/mission success (if someone tries to pull a gun on me and my squad, the get put down, or if a Krogan wannabe fuhrer and his minions holds a speech on how much he and his clan are going to kill everyone else after they killed us while standing on a gas tank, I blow it up - or if an Batarian working on a gunship that will be used against a brave vigilante "works to hard" ) or for cultural reasons (Talking and behaving like a Krogan appreciates on Tuchanka without overdoing it)

Depends on how I feel for each situation.

Typically, Paragon, but I have renegade playthroughs.

Can't avoid telling that Krogan that he talked too much though.

Paragade.

I killed the geth and some other irrestible renegade quick actions i mean seriously who can resist them? They are too awesome like allowing garrus to hit the guy in his personal mission.
