What happens if you don't do Arrival? *Possible Spoilers*

If you didn't complete Arrival does it just assume you completed it anyway, or does the game assume that it was another agent who completed the mission?
Thanks in advance.

I'm finishing up a playthrough of ME2 to import into ME3, and I just have a question.

You get one line of different dialogue in the intro. The one we saw in the demo.

Okay then. If the game just assumes you did Arrival anyway, there's no reason to skip it. If I'm going to do the time, I might as well do the crime. At least this way I can do it as Paragon as possible. (I still hate Arrival though)
At least you will have a clear explanation of why you are in trouble in ME3. For blowing up the Batarian relay, instead of "the s**t you've done". Much easier to understand.

On most of my playthroughs I play as paragon as possible, trying to save as many lives as possible. For storyline purposes, you are forced to kill 300,000 people. I understand why it's set up like that, but I still don't like it.

Arrival will have more of an impact on the story than one line of dialogue. You bet your ass there will be consequences whenever and wherever you face a Batarian.

300,000 dead people is quite low compared to several trillions.

I agree that's it's frustrating to not be able to save at least some Batarians out of the system. I imagine it must have been something like having to fire the atomic bombs over Hiroshima or Nagasaki from Shep's PoV - Shep had to know that the loss of innocent life was going to be massive, but the alternative was unthinkable.

I just assumed I was in trouble for signing Anderson up to all those Hanar fetish sites.izmirtheastarach wrote...

IT WAS A GIFT, ANDERSON. I thought you would like it.
