i assume i'll be diappointed by the dog, so..........

Neveruse? I almost never used the dogs in DA:O or DAII for instance... In DA:O the dog took the place of a party member, making the game harder and in DAII it was a 5th party member, making the game easier and more of a cluster**** (as if the fights didn't have enough of that in DAII...). Though, I must admit, the usefulness of the dog isn't the central problem. I just really don't like dogs. They're needy, abnoxious and attention-whoring little bastards.
