I would rather level up each player, not each class, once we hit 120 the game is basically done, they need to keep us playing the multiplayer, look at halo and how the multiplayer can carry a game <halo 2>

I hear that once you hit level 20 for a class/character, you can promote them into the main game and the level will reset to one.

That's the plan, they go into the war assets-meter in SP

do they plan on removing global class levels then (the only way thatll work)? so when you unlock a class you begin from level 1 rather than have all classes unlocked at the same accumulated XP level.

I would guess that an Import means the class is reset to lvl1 and we get to keep all the unlocks etc.

Why wouldn't the sheer fun of playing be enough to keep people playing. Carrot on a stick is a poor game mechanic to encourage replay. We should keep playing because we want to keep playing, not because we want big shiny rewards.

Halo 2 didn't have character based leveling up and its multiplayer lasted for a really long time. I have no idea why you used that as your example when it proves you wrong.

BUT you start at level 1 even if you have another race of the same class unlocked at level 20. in other words retail would work differently to the demo.
