Wow, you're pulling that out?
How do you think Day One DLC will affect sales figures of Mass Effect 3?

The sales will probably be high.
My friends who are CoD players are now considering getting it because of Multiplayer and the Action mode in Single Player

To me it isn't a big issue. In fact I'm quite happy with paying more for this title because of how much value and enjoyment I took from ME2. I don't want the collector edition because the dlc is the only thing I actually want, the rest would be going in the rubbish.
Same here. I didn't want all the other

If BioWare doesn't want to give us a complete game, I'm not going to give them my money, it's simple.

I'm very upset about the Day1 DLC, and what it means for the future of gaming. But bawwing all over BSN wont do anything. And even if i civilly and intelligently expressed my concerns in a thread, it would get drowned out by all the screaming idiot vorcha on BSN going "EA ****S ARE RUINING MASSEFECT111!!!! THIS ARE A CRIME!" Unfortunatly, those Caps lock abusing idiots make it even less likely that bioware devs will consider concerns they might otherwise look at if they were typed up in a coherent way.

You would think, but some times these measures need to be taken.
Why on Earth would I give BioWare/EA MY money for a game that isn't even complete? Why would I pay $60 for a game, then another couple hundred for the rest of it? BioWare has turned into a money grubbing ****, it's unfortunate too, because I use to love the company.

You can't really hold the small amount of people that claim to pirate in the same group as the people who oppose Day 1 DLC. A religion cannot account for its extremists.

Every game takes a nose dive after a couple weeks.
To put this into perspective, this game has more pre-orders than "ME2" did, and that game sold close to 4 mill.
www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/
And keep in mind people who whined about "ME2" used the same logic...."well, it has a lot of pre-orders, but sales will slow down!".
The game is going to receive critical acclaim and sell millions of copies. The handful of people who are boycotting it won't affect anything.

We're still a few weeks from release, and there are already like 800,000 pre-orders on the Xbox alone in NA and Europe. Hundreds of thousands more will buy it on release.
A few hundred people on here and Reddit boycotting it will make no difference. Even if a few thousand people decide not to buy the game, it will make no difference.
You know EA is looking for 6-8 million.

Ignore the one's posting such. They are in for a truly huge shock if believe possible with this franchise and this product. ME3 is more than 5 times higher in pre-orders than ME2 was (from what I have seen) and thats just USA alone, take into account Europe and rest of the world too EA will be rolling in money from launch of ME3 and I hope Bioware receive a great deal of it, most stores are having stock issues due to how many people are pre-ordering and the ones canceled are being picked up again by others at a very rapid pace.
They post such comments because they 'currently' are annoyed at Bioware or EA. Fans are fickle and prone to marriage's of convenience but proclaiming they are the true and most loyal fans at time of making threats.
The quality of the game itself without doubt may have some faults based on personal preferences but 'overall' it will be a very well received and very liked title from everything I have seen. The game is not a drastic change from previous titles even if refined and altered unlike DA2 where was rebuilt from scratch which brought up the whole 'not a true sequel' aspect. ME3 will not come even close to the fate and disdain DA2 received.

You know, the regular game is over a dozen hours of gameplay and the quality is undoubtedly high.
you're only punishing yourself, and breaking the law at that
And to the other poster; a moderate is the framework upon which extremes are based

Strike 2 No Steam Relase.
Strike 3 Constantly Pushing back PC releases on other titles.
Sorry but I am not buying Lost one sell here. Not worth the trouble of buying your product when you are trying to get me not to buy it. May buy it latter if it comes to steam. I can always Watch You tube vids of what interest me in the story line.
Thank you for past Games I have loved playing but not stepping into this one for a while if ever.

But again hex23, I don't think ME2 had the same stigma behind it..?
You obviously weren't around when "ME2" launched. People were complaining about the Cerberus Network....and DLC like Kasumi, which "should've been free!", and how Bioware sold out by joining EA, and how Bioware turned it's back on RPG purists....it was more or less this exact same scenario, just framed slightly different.
Basically, this is business as usual on this board. Hell, the similiarities between this and the launch of "ME2" are uncanny...."it's going to flop, we'll show Bioware!"...."it won't receive critical acclaim!"....basically the most out of touch drivel you can imagine. That's why it's hard to take any of this seriously....these people join and quit causes at the drop of a hat.

A lot of other game developers do the same thing anyways. To some it's a big deal, to others not so much.
