I installed easily the Phoenix Armor on my DAModder, and it was all great. Question is: Do the items I download just popup in my iventory when I play? Or do I have to find/buy them in the game? They weren't in my inventory, and I'm getting the hang of downloading mods now. I was able to do Pineappletree's Colors and More Hairstyles, it's time for weapons and armor!

Depends on the mod. Some mods automatically add items to your inventory right away (which can be problematic, as they'll tend to get readded the next time you load a game after having sold them), some mods add the items to your inventory at a specific point (like after reaching Ostagar), and some add the items to the the inventory of a specific merchant (usually Bodahn).
You can usually tell which by reading the mod description.
