It's contrived but at least the Paragons will finally have something complain about.

Not trying to seem hostile, but Paragons already had stuff to complain about, like Anderson or the Rachni, or Cerberus magically getting Collector Tech.

Again, I'm not arguing that we're "entitled" to some happiness or anything, but there was already plenty on both sides that BW f-ed up.

You're one of the few objective Paras ambi. The zealots that compromise a large segment of the Paragon crowd around here don't give a damn about story integrity or C&C as long as they get their fairy tale romance wish fulfillment fantasy.

They cheered when the brotherhood got screwed over with Cerberus so I say *Rambo voice* fuck 'em.

And if that wasn't bad enough, that blue tentacled headed bitch Liara gets Miranda's former quarters as well. Another  Image IPB

I approve +100

Once Miranda said:
This isn't a popularity contest! Lives are at stake. Shepard, you need someone who can command loyalty through experience. :(

The ending is heavily contrived (as I've said several times) but it is at least bold. I'm looking forward to ME3 now.

It WILL be interesting, that's for sure.

I have zero anticipation for ME3, haven't for six months, but I do want to see how they pull it off.

Indeed. Now all the people who openly gloated about Cerberus u-turn, who claimed that they knew it all along, and who lectured the Renegades that it's the outcome of their own actions will learn the true meaning of the words "writers' choice."

This is hardly ideal, but it's more fair than just one side being utterly screwed.

Still I'll play ME3. But my hopes are in Obsidian, not Bioware anymore.

Watching SeBROist rage in this thread has been quite funny, but the rage of white knight paragons once the game hits will be majestic.

I guess there's a kind of beautiful irony to it all. That those who had advocated most against branching storylines, decisive Choices and Consequences, and moral ambiguity (in the form of Renegades and Cerberus) for the sake of canon, continuity and heroics; would be the most burnt by it.

Great job, BioWare.

Oh my rage against this has unleashed my full creativity in Bioware,DA and ME bashing. No doubt quite a few would enjoy seeing the results. :P

Bizarrely enough, the revelation of the exact nature of the endings and how the white knight paragons will rage has made me look forward to the game again. :D

Is that "Cerberus is actually evil" plot really happening? Sounds stupid to me.

BSN will be raging in unison. It will be glorious.

Hopefully the DA writers learn from the mistakes of the ME writers. There's still hope for that franchise. There's issues with Leliana (which I'm sure will be justified eventually as the devs didn't do it on accident) and a few codex contradictions (just a few with some intentional) and some stupidity in Kirkwall (due to rushed development and thankfully ONLY in Kirkwall), but that's all pretty minor stuff. The main plot and lore have been held reasonably tight so far.

Yes it is. We have Cerberus committing atrocities for the lulz and going after all their longterm members from Gavin Archer to Kelly Chambers.

I see. No wonder you guys are upset. I could've sworn Cerberus was supposed to be morally ambiguous.

Like i've said before, ME is a series of semi-reboots with a loose continuity and the other reason for Cerberus' new direction is "uber linear paragon fanwank story lol".

Reading the script gives one the impression that it was written by a group of Paragon trolls with a huge chip on their shoulders against the Renegade path and Cerberus. It has infamous lines such as "Paragon = Success Renegade = Failure" and "wipe Cerberus out like rats".

I'll say this much, the ugliness that's ME3 has made me better appreciate the beauty of Blazblue and Witcher.

And yet the endings are the complete opposite of this.

What they've basically done is blow the players dick for near three games, catering to all their base whims and then at the last moment they bite their dick off and slaughter their entire family.

Bravo Bioware. Never saw it coming.

I don't mind the "Shep will always die" ending. Everyone dies, and it's a big war. I know somone players want to lie happily ever after with lots of blue babies, but it's simply not that kind of story.
I can handle Shep dying for the greater good.

Let me repeat that - I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH SHEPARD ALWAYS DYING ENDING. It's BioWares story about Sheaprd and a heroic death is a fitting ending.

I do mind everything leading to it tough. The contradictions, the ham-fistendnes, the bad writing....gah. Just terrible.

Indeed, we do have to give them credit for that even though it's most likely done with the ulterior motive of laying the groundwork for a future ME MMO/spin-off/sequel of some kind.

I have to say that Shepard being able to wear an Alliance officer's uniform is an incline. S/he should have been able to do that in the first one.

Still prefer and miss my Cerberus officer's uniform however.

I guess they're trying to be symbolic.

Doesn't matter how much you're pro-humanity, pro-cerberus, pro-council or pro-waifu. In the end, poor writing plagues us all.

And people die, though that's less important.

In the end the lesson is... no matter how hard you try it won't be enough. I like that.

Whether or not you threw the entire galaxy into turmoil or uplifited dangerous pro-humanity individuals, it means nothing when the world goes to ****.

I take great pleasure in knowing that the white knight Paragons will have their Shepards and waifu/husbandus burning in hell with TIM tormenting them for all eternity.
