Not a bad idea.  I might even by that DLC.


Gears of War 3 has RAAM's Shadow DLC that allows you to play as the antagonist, General RAAM, in the middle of the DLC. You get to deploy your deadly power to tear down the human soldiers and lead your Locust soldiers into battle.

Campaign-wise, it's like playing as Joker in ME2. You gain control of General, complete his story goal. Then, after you witness the whole extent of his effortless power, the focus shifts back to the original human team that has to fight the General. It was fun.

So, to return the thread to its original page count, are we going to post provacative hentai pics followed by a bunch of less-than-threes and squees like every other thread or are we going to do what we did before and actually have decent discussion only to have the thread locked?

The Batarians are good people. I like their general concept of being an anti-council alien race at odds with humanity. It's such a shame they've been relegated to the role of DLC whipping boys and little more.

TIM was always one of the better and more intriguing characters in the ME universe. It's a shame they relegated him in ME 3 because it didn't fit in with the EXTREME SHEPARD WILL TAKE BACK THE EARTH FROM BIG ALIENS AND BE A HERO motif.

What would've been nice is if Mass Effect 3 employed a branching narrative similar to the Witcher 2 choice after the trial/attack on earth, with Shepard being given the choice to work with either the Alliance or with Cerberus.

This would have significant effects on what squaddies you get/how they treat you and would change how you decide to fight the Reapers with the Alliance route more focused on saving the other races, whereas the Cerberus path would focus on simply finding the technology to stop the Reapers and bending certain races to your will, sometimes intersecting with the Alliance path and vice versa.

Eventually, this would come back to a single path at the end where you confront the Reapers on Earth and you'd have an endgame where TIM and Cerberus could betray you depending on your actions (pro-Human enough or not) during the course of the game.

Or something less stupid. I don't know. But from what I've read in the scripts, well, it sucks for TIM fans I guess.

A Ceberus and Quarian co-belligerence against the Geth plot is a sad missed opportunity due to the lack of a Witcher-esque "Cerberus path".
