What, just because you say so? I disagree. Now the diiscussion is rendered moot.

If you cant take out a turret, its not the turrets fault.

The engineer has a lot of armor, but if you shoot the white box on his back you can insta kill him or do a ton of damage.

The turret builds very slowly, its very weak while building and is the best time to destroy it.

Energy drain takes a lot shield and HP from it and takes a lot of damage from bullets.

People really need to call out on mic where turrets are. That saves a lot of lives as well.

The in game characters voices even calls out engineers when they show up. The game gives you so many chances to get rid of them.

Lower the turret damage and there'll basically be nothing threatening in the entire match. It isn't at all "challenging" to keep your eye on the surroundings and notice an engineer, in all the time it takes him, to set up a turret and simply get to cover or avoid it. If someone is really incapable of doing so in bronze, they shouldn't be playing shooters, period.

Right, like skill has ever been a factor in your ability to purchase or play a video game.  Anyway, the point stands that on Bronze the turrets are bit too strong.  And for the record, there are a lot of Mass Effect fans that do not enjoy shooters, it is clasified as an action RPG after all.

@bold: And very easily avoidable.

In the time it takes for an engineer to set up a turret, you could run across half the map. If you're running around corners like a ten year old on a sugar high, you shouldn't expect to last long, regardless of the difficulty. They're only a problem if you're stupid or ignorant enough to completely ignore your surroundings and never utilise cover. Nerf the turrets and there'd be no challenge in bronze whatsoever. There's a reason it's called "co-op". You're meant to work as a team. And as a team, turrets are no threat as long as you possess common sense enough to actually watch the game you're playing. Bronze is the easiest challange, but it's still classified as a "challenge" because that's what it's meant to be.

I was able to take them out easily enough, my infiltrator was stealth focused with melee bonuses and i can take out the turrets easily, IF the squad provides cover for me.

Turrets on Gold are messed up but I never really notice them since I'm usually more focused on the perpetual waves of Phantoms and Atlas mechs. D:

Still, on Silver and Bronze a turret placed while I'm unaware can still off me so I make it priority to take out Engineers once they appear, even before Phantoms. Turrets have an annoying habit of not getting staggered and taking out all your shields and most of your health if you stand in front of them for longer than three seconds. Not even an Atlas has that kind of DPS.

I can stagger an Atlas but I can't stagger a turret? What kind of sorcery is that?

Turrets are fine. Their damage is high, but their set-up time is really high also. Frankly, on silver, Turrets are the only thing that give me a pause on my Vanguard. That's a good thing if you ask me. With a team that isnt totally new to the ME series, turrents dont cause enough of a problem to warrant a nerf. A challenge is supposed to be a challenge, not mindless wave after wave.

I think its BS that NPC turrets are gods yet the player turrets can be completely ignored and killed easily.

They're fine the way they are. What you need is a good engineer, turian sentinel, or a salarian infiltrator to take them down in like 3 secs.

My quarian engineer's flamethrower turret melts faces. Enemies that ignore it are toast, literally.

If you nerf a turret, your nerf the utility of a tech specialist.

Overload instantly kills turret shields and any sniper can take out the armor easily from there.

Hate them but at the same time I enjoy the challenge. I think it is kind of ridiculous how much damage they do and also that because of turrets I will often deal with Engineers before an Atlas or Phantom.

I hope they nerf all of the enemies to make them not shoot real bullets either. These cerberus guys should be using rubber bullets and non-lethal batons and or a light soothing mist to calm down assailants.

I have to disagree. Yeah, they deal a lot of damage, but with my Krogan Soldier at range, carnage+aimed shotgun blasts = dead turret.

They aren't that hard to deal with, and since in Silver they don't appear until about half way through the round, I really don't see a problem.

After hearing people claim they "Don't want to think about aiming," in the Widow bug thread, I really would not be all that surprised if we heard serious discussion along those lines.

Two Widow shots on Gold destroy the turret. It doesn't need to be toned down.

While we are at it sniper rifles need a nerf, then once that is done pistols need nerfing, followed by skills (stupid Vangard stealing all my kills) just nerf everything better than what i use or anything that takes any skill to actually beat then i can kick back and aimbot wallhack the game in god mode and all my friends will think im 1337

Yep. My Engineer, overload and widow love turrets. Leave the turrets as they are.

It's a team game, turrets are easy for some classes and harder for others, same with phantoms. It's about each player using their classes strenghts to cover their teammates classes weaknesses.

Salarian Engineer:

Cloak -> Energy Drain -> Energy Drain (if on Gold) -> Shooting and it's down in less than 10 seconds.

Turrets are fine.

Doesn't sabotage effect turrets? If so, having powerful turret on your side could be pretty handy.

If there's a problem with the turrets, it's that they tend to limit the playable classes. Relatively few race/class combinations deal with them well; the same is true of Phantoms.

Having them do big damage to punish poor play is fine. Coordinated team play will keep them from ruining your day.
