and not as in the one round power ups but as permenant stat boosters.
Give you that extra statistical boost to get through Gold and lord knows what the higher challenges will be
though... giving a Kinetic Exoskeleton and Shield Interface to a Vanguard might be just too much of a boost
Maybe the old ME1 Armor mods could be brought back?

Now that would be twelve kinds of neat.

Anything to differentiate people's builds would be nice.

Granted stuff like a Shield Interface and Medical Exoskeleton would do wonders for a more fragile class looking at you Drells... then again sticking them on a Krogan would make them more unkillable XD

I doubt they'll be adding anything new this late in the game but it'd be a great addition IF the armor mods also had a penalty attached.
It'd be kind of a way to customize your guy without becoming more powerful, just tuning and differentiation.

I wish they actually brought back the actual armor classes....light, medium and the heavy types only soldiers could wear.

Love that system, in MP it should have some penalty for adding mod on armor. Make things more interesting like kinetic exoskeleton with long range penalty. Make your character more unique that way.

Probably the best mods that would have high penalties at level I but relatively minor ones at X
However mods would be found in the shop, but wouldn't be upgraded by it... they are upgraded by use, think out it as field testing they can't improve it unless they have field data XD
Like the Medical Exoskeleton would give you power recharge bonus and a health regen...
except it would weaken your shields
then as it get's better the shield weakening gets less severe -basically them working the bugs out-
until it gives you a nice recharge bonus and health regen... and maybe a little shield boost like it did in ME1 -not a big one... i think it was just 50-
An Inventory bonus would allow you to carry more special items like missles and medi-gels... but would eat away at your ammo space or cause a weight penalty... until they design it more econically or invent hammer space
etc etc
