God, I feel like if I were a non existant entity.
And from his dialogue, he likes Shepard, not his body.
I would really dislike if they did the "I'm not actually attracted to men, just you" approach with Kaidan. For one, that seems to be shying away from homosexuality/bisexuality (something Bioware/Mass Effect seems to be doing especially with male characters) and another - that doesn't seem to be the healthiest relationship.

Uness they majorly changed the dialogue from November, which I don't think is very likely, dialogue of the sort Klace invented seems... not at all what the game will be like. You've read it, there are hardly any references to gender and (thankfuly) it steers away from the slightly bizarre notion that the VS finds nobody of their own gender attractive other than Shepard.
We can be glad that was made up.

Not only is it unrealistic, it's rediculous. By and large, most people are straight, that's it. Not to mention the precedents set in the first 2 games, etc, etc.
I really don't give a crap about having a gay character in the game, some of THE COOLEST characters in fiction are gay...Louis the assassin from the John Connolley novels, Omar from the Wire, etc, etc. So if Vega turns out to be gay, great, as long as he's well written.
I just don't want to take the risk that I'm gonna be playing and have to deal with a "Gay Kaiden" scenario after the "brothers-in-arms" camaradarie of the first game between him and Shep.
I really, really don't want to ZevKnife him, but I will if I have to. In fact I think I'm gonna have to just because I don't want to take the chance.
Goodbye Kaiden old buddy...gonna have to take Ash forward instead.

See, I prefer Kaiden's banter to Ashley's in the first game. Kaiden is UNMISTAKEABLY straight, he comments on Liara, has a whole story about a female lost love (all you people who are gonna go "Oh, he can be Bi!" get a grip will you, generally it's as simple as it looks, guy mentions a former love who was a girl, he's straight) but I can't help think Bioware will have outdone themselves and caved to the extremely small but vocal gay community on here who want to retcon EVERYONE into being bloody Bisexual.
I have to agree here. It's obvious the writers of ME intended Kaidan to be perceived as heterosexual, seeing as he was FemShep's primary love interest.
Gays are deluding themselves if they think Kaidan was homosexual, or even bisexual.

That and your rigid view of what sexuality is or isn't not actually standing up to scrutiny in the face of countless gay and bi people's own lived experiences, of course.
Right now, sucks to be you.

Who says he wouldn't comment on sexy new male Drell squadmate if ohh IDK, one JOINED the crew like Liara did? There wasn't even a chance for him to do that.JamesMoriarty123 wrote...

Considering devs themselves have been tweeting about how Shepard (and by extension, in that case, someone like Kaidan) coming out in ME3 doesn't go against anything we saw in the first 2 games, I think you guys are the ones who are deluding yourselves now.
The writers can determine anything they want to concerning a character, thats their perogative. My point is, that no one can say that Kaidan wasn't intentionally designed to be straight, as he was FemShep's primary love interest to begin with.

Are we bringing the real world into this now? Trust me you don't want to go there, because I'm quite certain that Bioware's rendition of human sexuality is nothing like reality.

Cute. So you know about everybody if they are str8, bi, gay, whatever around you? I was very surprized about some people in my life. Plus, you think you can't be friends bith gay, bi, str8 people of the same/different sex? That's very limiting... There is a simple word for all that - prejudice. M.

Well, see, I don't know what kind of warped perception of reality you have there, but bisexuality isn't exactly rampant. The continuation of the species depends on it, pal. Most people are straight, and most men who show an interest in women are straight, sorry to burst your bubble. As a previous poster also said, it's more than clear he wasn't written in as gay or Bi, the dev's themselves confirmed that very thing in previous interviews, stating they weren't doing gaymance in ME, but obviously that's changed. And great that it has, as I mentioned, I'm not against it. I am against messing with established characters.

I have no risk of my buddies turning out to be gay, not with their habits. But even if any of them did, that's cool with me. I'm pretty sure I won't have to handle a come on from them in cheesy Bioware style. (ahem, Anders, Zev, etc, ahem)

Whether Kaidan or anyone else identified, theoretically, as gay, straight or bi in ME1 and 2 means absolutely nothing to me. I can believe whatever the heck I want in my playthroughs, just as anyone else is able to think whatever they want. I'm just happy gayShep finally has a choice.

Not they never did that. And no gay romance doesn't automatically mean that a character is straight. There's no gay romance with Jack, but she still sleeps with girls.JamesMoriarty123 wrote...

It's also apparent that you don't need to be attracted to both of the genders involved in a threesome. Sorry to be blunt, but it's true.

Your schoolboy logic astounds me.
Sadly I can't put forward a rebuke against such blatant stupidity. Taking my comments out of context and snapping back with childish one liners isn't how you debate a point. But it is how you acknowledge losing an argument, well done.
You think Drell are easy on the eyes? Lol...
A bisexual person might say the same thing if a man walked past, but that wasn't your point, you point was relating to aliens, which is why I countered by mentioning Garrus and Wrex...ahh what's the use...
Also check your facts, Bioware DID state in previous interviews there was never going to be gaymance in ME, it only changed about a year ago.
Anyway, I've said all I need to, we'll found out who's gay and who's not in a week anyway, if Kaiden isn't gay, I might just rerun ME1 and not ZevKnife him. I really hope he isn't, more at this point just to ****** off the fanatical gay community that wish SO HARD for it to be so...

lol someone's losing argument and starts going with "hur dur stupidity you don't understand it at all". And yes, Drell are 10 times easier on the eyes than Garrus & Wrex because they look 10 times more like humans than Garrus & Wrex. Fact. And again, just because they didn't want to give an option to ManShep to romance guys doesn't mean yet that these guys were/are straight. FemShep can't romance Jack yet Jack isn't straightJamesMoriarty123 wrote...

Guess what? Some people are gay. Some people aren't. All players of the game, gay or straight, want to be able to play the game in a way that they find enjoyable. All players want to be treated the same. Now everyone gets to. It's awesome, isn't it?
Indeed, I don't see the problem. Some scream RETCON! if they aren't going to do the romance, whats the problem?
