Because ALL gay and bi guys are completely open about it and no gay or bi guys in the military have EVER cultivated an image of complete heterosexuality among their peers... Yeah, I could barely keep a straight face typing that.

Before I came out, I made it point to talk about how attractive random women were.  I avoided talking about anything that could be construed as accepting of same sex attraction, and would often drop mildly homophobic jokes to solidify the image.

But that's beside the point. What someone else does with their Shep and LI has no real bearing on yours. It doesn't throw me for a loop that some Sheps are female. It doesn't cause any reality conflict to know that some people choose different Virmire survivors, different classes, different favorite weapons, etc. My game is my game, your game is yours. Let's all just sit back and have fun with our completely separate and independent game experiences when it comes out!

Even if there are options, they will still complain ''gay this, gay that''.
Seriously, NO ONE (not even Bioware) is pressing you to romance Kaidan or Vega or anyone else. Why the butthurt? <_<

Butthurt because I want to be able to have a "brothers-in-arms" type of dialogue with Kaiden. As in the first game, and indeed as with many soldiers who serve time and fight battles battles together.

Not have him come on to me for gaysex because of a vocal gay minorities fantasies.

Anyway, I rest my case, games out in a week, we'll see what the score is then. Either way, my first playthrough won't have him in, just in case.

I'm going to be blunt, if we think like this, then Liara is full of semen. By this point, you could even get a flu from her, instead of some STD. I don't see them complaining because a character is having sex with 1000000 Shepards.

But nooo... they can't like dicks and vaginas.

If "brothers-in-arms" dialogue is what you want with him, the you will be fully satisfied in a week, if the leak is to be believed. Regardless if he's available for gay romance or not.

It turned out to be fake. 

We do have some dialogue from the November beta that comes from a Kaidan romance, but it's jumbled and hard to read.

THIS! Every damn time I play Mass Effect 1 and chat up Kaidan (as I always do) and then this happens. Its like a slow motion running toward a loved one in an old filmed by how its shot.

He wasn't originally scripted to be Bi at all...he was scripted as the primary love interest for FemShep. And that's how the game shipped.

I'm gonna reserve all other comments for now until after the game ships, if it turns out he isn't gay, man, some people gonna get the flame boat.

Considering the Anders backlash BW got, I'm going to assume Shepard has to make the first move.

I think the better lesson to take from Anders is not to force the player to either flirt or rudely turn down a companion for negative approval points.

It was the way they wrote flirting with Anders that Bioware did wrong.
