I just tried my Widow III on my Asari Adept (gives me 22% cooldown bonus, so that gun is heavy as hell) and ran with it on Gold. It was more just for the lulz than actual strategy, trying something different from my Carnifex II+Shuriken X setup and the results were spectacular to say the least!

With still little over 4 seconds cooldown for Stasis, Warp and less for Throw, I still had decent enough cooldowns (even though I could no longer spam them, a lesson learned the hard way in the first match) so I had to be careful with my powers, if not use them exclusively to deal with Phantoms (was the only Asari Adept, so Phantoms were my responsibility mostly (though our Infiltrator did his fair share by himself, kudos to you guy, you really helped out!).

Turned out such a good setup, even though my build was not spec'ed for this (mostly lacking the headshot evolution in the class passive) that with me running around our fronts keeping Phantoms immobilized (and one headshot still eliminated their barriers full, with them gone it was a OS/OK) we eventually won four consecutive Gold matches, 2 each map.

And as a little notch notch to the "lobby snobbery" thread, one of our teammates was a N7 lvl 19 Soldier lvl 19, and he proved very reliable and definately pulled his weight!

Anyways, I know what my Adept Shepard will be running with!

It isn't the way I'd do it, but if it works for you then it works.

Try it sometime, it may just surprise you as much as it did me. I expected to simply participate in the longrange combat our team was setting up from our positions (Firebase White: two on the vantage point at the hallway and two downstairs / Firebase Ghost: at the far end of the map, opposite to the LZ which serves as a nice crossroad for more or less every single area and makes for a great sniping range).

I wasn't expecting to go all Hähyä, but the increase in destructiveness I could deliver was NOT met with an equal decline in biotics capability, or so my own judgement goes.

First I would have to unlock them.  N7 85 currently and I have neither.  Alien unlocks have been particularly terrible.  I have the Salarian three times, the Quarian twice and nothing else.

That would indeed certainly help. Good luck with your packs, hope you get what you want. I have finally come to the point where I got everything and damn that took its time. Looking forward to the fullgame grinding (no kidding, the pokemon expert in me is living up!)!

That's nice but Carnifex is even more mindblowing. You would notice it more on gold though, when Widow doesn't OHKO from a headshot.

Like I said, Carnifex+Shuriken is my standard setup (and damn good!), but running with the Widow is just a slightly different pace and works definately good enough.
