 I just unlocked Krogan Soldier. I melee everything to death.

Pretty much. If you stick your head out on Gold, you're going to end up looking like what's left of a Phantom after a Widow is done with it.  The Krogan lacks proper crowd control and is too reliant on having others provide it.

Krogan soldier?? pssh...I got the turian sentinel. Overload and warp my enemies into oblivion. What's that? Oh a turret? Don't worry let me just whip out my hand cannon after I overload it's sheilds.

I did that with a bunch of turrets. They arent hard if they arent aiming at you

Krogan's are effective on gold dude, just went through a match with a lvl 20 krogan soldier and he had almost 50k exp I was 2nd with like 33k! Krogan and human soldier one asari adept and a human engineer. We balled out but got overran on wave 10. Fun as god knows what! Just randomly joined quick match and linked up with 3 other high level warriors...with mics! My dream lol but ya krogans are effective if used effectively...

Krogan Soldiers are fun to play on bronze and silver, but I haven't even tried em in gold as I just don't see them making any useful difference there.

Well, to be fair, the game is about teamwork. If the Krogan soldier came in 1st, it shows he did very well in Gold. The teamwork allowed the class to shine. Simple.

As a side note, can I just say that ye gods, engineers are devastating when they're played well! I mean, I always loved the class in ME2, but in the multiplayer... just, wow.
