Hey Everyone,
Im looking at starting my mage over again(ruined my last one totaly).

Im going to be going a blood/warrior mage so I can run around with the warden armor(looks mad:D)

Im going to be playing a evil char so im thinking of putting alot of skills into the bottom class(entropy?).
All the warrior and blood ones, as welll as a few others.

For my party im thinking, me(mage/dps), morrigan(healer/backup), a archer, tank(either the golm from the DLC or alistar.

Im still pretty unsure about where to start as im going to be doing this on hard or nightmare.

Any tips?

wow this is seriously my party. i'm level 20 right now and havn't finished the game but i am putting the hurt down.

I have full line of aw and bm spells can't go wrong and arcane shield a must
full fire and earth lines, fire for damage earth for crowd control
weakness up to miasma, cc good sustainable
and full drain life, enemy mage healing more nuking

morrigan is ss 1 and sh 2 none in mage.  lifeward is good but you can do some serious dps and spirit healer is too costly for morrigan as she's doing a good deal of dps she does have over 40% cold damage in equpiment which makes winters grasp deadly over 70 damage every few seconds.
full line of cold, cc and damage
full line of heal, heals
full line of disorient, cc
full line of hexs, affliction helps cause serious elemental damage and last 2 are just good .
full line of mindblast, mines only at tele weapons but is soon gonna change

with 35 base willpower 55 base magic and 25 base constitution i can throw around plenty of spells switch to blood magic to use blood wound or blood control and cast off any more spells activate combat magic and go to town. that is if morrigan didn't clean up the leftovers with winters grasp

my morrigan perfectly offsets my pc i could probably do most the game just nuking with these two characters

to start off keep putting points into magic so you can get earthquake as soon as possible(level 4-6). spam CoC and Stone fist after you get Morrigan. start on weakness for some more crowd control with paralyze and get petrify so you have more cc. start the fire line by now you should have your first specialization and now you can have fire and telekinetic weapons =deadly combo. get Morrigan healing right after CoC and then start mind blast/finish mindblast. top off healing line or stop at regenerate.  then give her the hexes or PC can take the hexs and have Morrigan go the death cloud route for optimization.

fireball, blizzard sleep, earthquake, are where my nuking starts inferno death cloud blizzard again is were it ends.

Earthquake can be used with a weapon inferno can be used with a weapon death cloud curse of mortality hexs petrify can be used with a weapon.

Imo I would use Shale not Alistair, Alistair dies alot until you completely pimp him out.

Morrigan seems like a good backup in any part her cold spells come in really handy especially if you are out number she can freeze a big group while you blast them. I would fill her with status spells because really any attacks or shapeshifting is useless if your going to be blasting them.

A archer seems kind of pointless if you can I would use another character as a healer but thats just me because I never got much use out of Archers.

Well, as for spells, i'd go fire first, then the crushing prison line, and get the glyphs also, i found they work great together and are great to keep mobs from swarming u,
then i'd get rock armor and maybe stonefist, and ofc allthe spells fromt he spec, i''d leave the ice tree to morrigan, same as the SH spec combined with blood mage, makes her quite good, i'd let her max out the hexes also, and also get Syphon dead to give her a chance to regain mana in troop fights.
For the rest i'd pick some single target spells whatever comes in handy.

i also suggest u get the respec mod in the mod section, since it saves u alot of time, since i ruined a mage also before i got it. and its safe to use, i had no problems with it so far.

Hope this helps Posted Image
