Notice that all this is actually quite old not even requiring latest hardware but only DX11.

FFXIII  - certainly not a perfect game but its more flak then it deserves... some of that I believe is mostly back lash against JRPGS in general. 

Man I wish I had a Ligthing Deal with Avater... oh yes.

I can top that...

Brand new Xbox, brand new copy of GTA IV, £160 all in, on sale from Asda. Bare minimum that you're looking at (from what I've seen) for a very basic gaming PC is £300-plus, and then, games wouldn't run as well as they do on my Xbox.

For a decent rig? Minimum £600-700, from what I can tell, so you're looking at almost four times the price.

And it'll be obsolete in two years, anyway. Besides, I only use my PC to give indie games like Terraria some love...

One thing to note is that no PC that cost £300 seven years ago, which is what the 360 cost when it was new I believe, would be able to play ME3 without upgrades. For a machine thats seven years old, the 360 is doing pretty well.

also PC are a pain to maintain if you do not know anything about them... colsoles are easy to use, no need to worry about compatibility etc.

So sorry for wanting to just put my game in and be good to go, and not having to worry about "Can my PC handle it, do I have the tech requirements met, could there be some weird problem that makes the game not work, will this have a spy program in it, what if something happens that makes me have to install too many times bricking my game, how long will the install take, what if my computer gets a virus that keeps me from playing", yada yada yada. With consoles, I just put the disk in, and that's it, it's game time. PC's, there's a lot of BS that can be between you and playing.

I just think it's appropriate to reference the fact that some of the best games in history had absolutely terrible graphics, were built for consoles, and still stand up to the test of time.

And if you think that the standards are 'higher' in this day in age, let me reference you to this little gem.

Granted, PC game, but it disproves that graphic argument, with 5 million + copies sold.
