The PC is finished as a gaming platform. It's a minority market and it's only a matter of time before developers just stop.

Heh, now that is a plan I can get behind. And then, all I'd need to do is get a gfx card, and I can legitimately say I play all four platforms (yes, I have a Wii, too... I'm triply ruining Mettyx's hobby!)...Il Divo wrote...

It's okay. The PS3 is down in price from its whopping $600 deal. My plan is to wait for the months spanning right before PS4 release and just pick up all the great games. I'll completely nerd out.

If you meant me, you're absolutely right! Ordered it as a business machine for my job, so it was allowable as capital expenditure, y'see; I needed it for work a lot more than I needed it for gaming, since only one of those things, like, earns me money.Hainkpe wrote...

Completely untrue.
Skyrim was the third best selling PC game in the UK last year and appears at number 5 in the overall list. Football Manager 2011 and 2012, which were first and second don't even appear in the all platform list.

It does the job (once I got rid of that free McAfee nonsense, and got Avira Premium on there), so that's all that matters to me.

Sorry folks, but it's true. They offer so much more options and possibilities, it ain't even funny.
And its' really not rocket science to assemble (or buy) one.
Consoles do have one advantage.... split-sceen 4- player gaming.

Okay let me put it differently. The top selling game on the PC doesn't appear on the all platform list. The third best selling game on the PC appears on the list at 5 BECAUSE OF IT'S CONSOLE SALES.
You tell me lies, I use FACTS to illustrate your lie and I'm clueless? Learn to read moron.

DX11... My computer can only run DX9, because of something... It's something important, here just let me remember what it is...Oh yeah, it's because I'M POOR! Some people can't afford thousands of dollars for their machine, some of us have to make due with used Xbox's.Mettyx wrote...
Download any of these demos(especially, hair, water, deformity) and see how greatly your consumption of console decrepitude has stomped progress to the ground for almost a decade now.
Notice that all this is actually quite old not even requiring latest hardware but only DX11.
Anger towards console peasantry is well deserved. You trully are a bane to the gaming industry.

Dell's proprietary softare is pure crap. As is their customize options and customer service. I do my own builds. No point in having to deal with it.johnbonhamatron wrote...

But you said PC gaming is dead? It's clearly not "moron." Just because PC games don't sell as well as consoles doesn't mean PC gaming is dead. I should also add I don't think PC gaming has ever been as popular compared to consoles, at least since the nintendo days.
But I guess that means it's been dead for the last 25+ years right? Oh wait...
