So far I have been loving the multiplayer but one thing strikes me as a missed opportunity.

The medals that you receive for getting X kills with powers/weapons/melee and assists etc. Only apply an XP bonus and then dissappear once the match is over. I wish there was a medal cabinet or something similar that lets you see which medals you have received. Also a system where small awards contribute towards much bigger awards would be nice (much like BF3 and GoW3's award systems). Example being getting 20 gold assault rifle medals awards you a much bigger award (such as a large credit/xp bonus or a silver/gold weapon unlock).

Loving the demo, can't wait to get my N7 rating back up in the full game (made a few mistakes with character builds).

*Edited for extra clarity

I think he means a page on his profile that shows how many of each medal he has unlocked over all his gameplay combined? I'm not sure.

not a good idea imo... it's still mass effect and it's still co-op...
fck archievements, medals, ribbons, k/d stats <- THOSE things are the things that really destroys all the multiplayer fun in almost every game

Yeah, I'd actually like to see ME stay away from a medal/ribbon/stat based MP. It's... Addictive to me... And not in a good way.

I personally don't see any point in them, but I don't think it would stop me from playing.

Since the multiplayer is supposed to be about supporting the singleplayer game, if you make it a competitive stat-based experience in and of itself, it will get harder for people who are trying to play it to support their singleplayer games to find matches to play in.

You risk setting up something like the hardcore v. casual dichotomy that plagues a lot of games, and I'd rather not see that become a huge problem when I really want to use the multiplayer primarily to support my singleplayer and to also have some fun.

What to you get for Rez or assists......no too many variables etc. and would promote "kill stealing"

everytime I accidentally shoot someone I apologize, even if sometimes it looks like the other player might be in trouble.

I never complain if someone kills someone I'm engaged with though.

Heh, clearly not to everyones tastes. I personally think it would be good incentive to mix and match your gameplay and strive towards different medal types (its easy to stick to one class/weapon/power set). And as far as all the K/D and stats comparison goes making it private would work well. From personal experience not a single thread on Battlelog goes by without some idiot disregarding someones post because X stat is worse than theirs.

Please,  don't worry about kill stealing ever!  If I'm on an asari adept, headshot or
detonate that silvery debuff!  When you see frozen enemies, tech explode them
if you can, or mass shatter.  This is a co-op game designed to work optimally
when we work together.

There are plenty of other high quality, competitive multi player games where the
design includes the ability to steal other peoples kills for your sole personal
benefit.

Even if it's made private, someone, somewhere, sometime will make a "Post your stuff" thread that will run rampant with screenshots and flames and flaming screenshots.
