You would've been wrong though, the codex even says that asari are 'an all-female race', gender just no meaning to them because they have only one gender (that's what monogendered means). The ME1 CE codex also says this: "while asari have only one gender, they are not asexual like single-celled life—all asari are sexually female"

Asari is an all female race (google what "female" means), thus Liara can be a lesbian in any game where main character is a female. I guarantee you the only one Liara will have feelings for in such a game is another female. Selfowned OP tbh. Do you think Liara should have feelings for males, just because she physically can? In this case google what lesbians means as well. Although being a lesbian is just two drinks away from being bi, i dont see any difference here, unless being utterly pedantic.

The codex isnt meant to be taken as fact. There are lots of inconsistencies in the codex that people just love to nitpick and do it all the freakin time on this forum.

If X is Y then why is it Z. Sheesh people this is a fictional universe - where nothing is meant to be realistic.

The Asari are a monogendered species rather than an asexual one, and that gender is female.
