Is is just me or are these useless? The ammo crates located at 10 foot intervals around the map makes these redundant.

I think Bioware should remove then in lieu of a one time use per game ally revive called Unity. It would be a million times more useful than the Thermal Clip Pack would ever be.

When you're out of ammo and surrounded by enemies thus preventing you getting to an ammo crate, you'll wish you had thermal clip packs.

Actually more to the subject, I do use them occasionally, but more out of convenience and because I do indeed have a truck-load of them.

When you only have a low ammo weapon equipped to maximize cooldown and facing down a large amounts of enemies the ammo packs can be useful. However, most of the time you won't need to use them much.

You guys need to play more on gold It's very often that you are pinned down with no crate near you. It's not often but not rare too when I'm using them, specially when I'm with widow, claymore or something of the like with small spare clips.

I have 37 and I only used one in my first game ever because I didn't know about the whole equipment thing since the controls shown in the loading screen actually refer to SP.

The ability to revive a downed teammate from anywhere on the map would be so much more useful than Thermal Clip Packs could ever be.

Those can be useful if you use a Carnifex only, but even then it's very situational.

Wait until all the maps are unlocked before you make suggestions like that. Remember, these are starter maps.

I'm glad they are there when i need them, but that is not every match.

Sometimes it's easier in the heat of battle to just use one up instead of having to break off and find an ammo pile. Especially if you're rolling with something with a low ammo count like a carnifex.
It's also useful for restoring grenades in a pinch on the harder difficulties, since any ammo crate above bronze only gives you one at a time.

I've got 255 of them, and I can't apparently stack any more. I don't think I've used one since getting the extended clip for the Widow.
It'd be nice if instead of carrying 2 ammo packs I could carry extra survival packs, rockets or medigel, or in the store sell them for credits/swap for medigel/survival packs/rockets.

Only for the last wave or drop ship wave, but yes I dont need any more after I have 112 bioware
