My Shep is an Infiltrator, and I haven't really pumped up his tech
skills because I have Kaidan with me, so I let him take care of that for
now until later when my combat skills are sufficient. Wrex is also with
me. What is my best defense/strategy against biotics? I keep getting
slapped with blue plasma balls that take me out of commission. Thanks
for any tips. Playing ME 1

Not much you can do about those, but look for armor with good protection against those (probably called hardiness or something like that, I don't own the English version).
In general, the best defense against anything is Immunity. Keep it always active, you may get thrown to the floor a few times, but if you take no damage, that's hardly a problem. You can also just use techs or biotics to prevent enemies from using their abilities.
