Just a suggestion.

The manufactured controversy surrounding this first day release of the "Additional Character and Mission" is unbelievable.

A great many people seem to believe they deserve it for free because you - Bioware - have decieved them (even though they know exactly how you operate and aren't actually decieving them), made it your policy to cheat your players for a measly ten bucks (because that's what businesses do, right?), and are treating those who purchased the CE over SE preferentially, and the SE folks like garbage.

So - I propose that no one get this content.  That way, first day games - CE or SE are - aside from some swag in the box, getting precisely the same experience.

No one cries, no one dies, and the teeming masses are happy again that light has returned to the world and all is fair.

At the end of the year, you release it.

Then everyone gets it for the same price at the same time, and we can know definitively that we still all got the same experience, and you Lying Corporate Tools And Money -grubbing Scum (or LCTAMS, or "Lactams", as I like to call you) still get your measly ten bucks to sleep on or buy high-class hookers with or snort coke off the Skyrim box or whatever it is Game Moguls do with it.

Everybody's happy, then.

Right?

EDIT:  please read the rest of the thread before replying.

Why should CE buyers agree to this? It says you get a DLC character, so you get him.

I swear, had this been Vega, nobody would have complained :/

Postponing it is not going to make this go away...

matter especial not its out.

Bioware in the future should understand that playable/useable characters are Collector edition bonuses...

Err no.

If you want the DLC, buy it. If not, don't. Simples.

And besides, DLC is released strategically throughout the year; they don't just throw a dart at a calendar to come up with the dates.

Alright. How can you guys justify having to pay for PROTHEAN DLC?? I mean, a goddamn Prothean isn't some mercenary--it's an enigma 50,000 years in the making, that is an integral part of the lore of Mass Effect.
Halo 3 may as well have had a Day 1 DLC--buy it or you don't get to meet a Forerunner.
Rowling--Pay an extra 10 bucks, and you'll get the Speshull Edition of The Deathly Hallows that includes Harry's talk with Dumbledore after being killed.
Star Wars--Pay 10 bucks, and you get the Scenes with Lando Calrissian.
Gears of War3- - Pay 10 bucks, and you get the Speshull Carmine DLC.
You get my point? You don't cut out stuff that's absolutely vital to the lore and story of a work just to make 10 bucks. It's a ****ing PROTHEAN!! How can you justify paying 10 dollars on release day for something that should be present anyways???
Yes, my jimmies are rustled.

So to avoid a manufactured claim of "unethical" behavior, they should engage in actual unethical behavior by denying the CE purchasers access to something that was advertised and that they paid for?

They should just make the DLC character a CE exclusive again.

<ROCK> Bioware <Hardplace>

To continue the theme perhaps the CE owners should just back down so that the child can live?

It was never listed as anything other than a "bonus" after all.

it's not going to happen. This character is promised for CE owners. The earlier they push this out the better.

That's the only problem I have with it.

If it was Fembot or some generic person fine but...
Yeah. Prothean.

What I find hilarious is people complain when the content of DLC is lacking and below par and is a rip off, and yet when someone produces something actually worth buying, it should be free?

Either buy it or don't. No one has a gun to your head.

Of course they are gonna treat the CE owners better, they were actually promised this content and paid more than those who got the standard edition...

Yes. Because there are seventeen other generic space marines in ME3.
