Greetings!

I can't find a proper thread, so I open one. I have the game from Steam, but using on Origin now. Start from there. I maded a playthroguh last month and it was OK. But today I started another game with a new ME1 char and about 1 hour, can't tell the exact time, it's crash. I mean blue screen, PC restart. It works fine after the Arrival DLC, I mean the DLC itself. Bought before ME3 demo camed.
The only thing I changed the new Geforce driver 295, which finally fixed the issue what the previous versions have. Well, at least to me.

Oh, and someone can send me a proer graphics settings for a Geforce 8600 GT 256MB? Sometimes the game runs fine, but cut-scenes start to slow-down.

Geforce drivers newer than 258-something just don't work correctly for ME-1 or 2.   Whether it's the driver at fault for the game crashing, is beyond answering without all of the missing information

Wierd, I never have any kind of issues before. And I always used the latest Geforce driver, the WHQL ones of course.
any my specs:

Windows XP Home SP3
ASUS P5KPL-AM SE
Pentium E5300 2.60 GHz
2 GB DDR2
Geforce 8600 GT 256MB

I play the game - just like before - as a limited user account.

Not saying it's a vector for trouble in your case, but I believe you have a "Pentium Dual", which has undergone the Celeron emasculation routine. Most of the cache RAM that distinguished a C2D was ripped out of it, so it's roughly half as good as a C2D at the same core speed, about like an AMD Sempron compared to their full-power CPUs.

I installed back the previous driver 285v and now it works fine, again. Maybe the new driver or my config, or just the 8600 GT.
Can I change the thread title? To add with Geforce driver v295.

Yes, in Edit Mode, you can change the title of your own thread.

A blue screen of death (BSOD) means that there is a problem with your computer hardware or drivers. If it was just the game, only the game would crash.

I just wanted to post here so that people know I found the solution to the problem.
If your PC is running a Intel HD 3000 graphics driver, when you try to open the menu it will result in a crash and will bring you back to windows. there is however a solution that dose not require you to go out and by a new PC the solution is to use the older .2361 drivers.
you can download this from
http://www.wikidrive...MA_15.22.1.2361
once you install that the game will function beautifully. you can hit escape all day long and you won't crash to desktop
Thanks again everyone. See you around.

This thread is about an nVIDIA equipped non-Optimus system. It has absolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with any of Intel's Tinker Toy play video boondoggles. You are off topic and out of line.

Well, I put back the previous driver and the game runs fine. Just finished today, no crash or error messages. Maybe my system cause it: old OS, VGA, new driver.
