Ladders are too slow to climb up and down :(

For the most part, ME3-MP is a nice, fast experience. However.. ladders just seem far too slow to me. It seems to take ages and ages to climb up them and they usually stop you from quickly jumping down from ledges unless you can go around them or suffer a long climb down.

I say there's no room in the future for ladders. Who's with me? ^_^

Ladders seemed like a gimmick in the demo levels. They're quite nice in multiplayer to add more dimensions to the map. It would be good if you could shoot from a ladder though.

EDIT: Grammar

I use ladders as Phantom traps.

Climbing up you have no option, but to go down DO NOT use the ladder, just drop off one of the sides, much quicker

My biggest problem is that you can't always do this... there's one coppery coloured map that doesn't let you jump off the sides because there's not enough space :crying:

Hmm every ladder I've used in the demo works, maybe I'm missing one

The ones that go through ceilings.

No wonder it's called Firebase Ghost.

My problem is that my character use the ladder even if I don't want to (to climb down). I'm checking for enemies from higher position and I suddenly find myself climbing down the ladder. There should be a key assigned to use a ladder IMO.

I actually agree with you a props to you forgetting your point across without whining. What I do in MP is use what ever button you use to dodge, roll, dash at the ledge and you fall off much quicker you're out of luck on your way up though lol.

Lol. It's SPACE/A/X just like every other damnned action. That and the narrow FOV are pretty much my only gripes with ME3 so far, provided the final release has a HD texture pack like DA2 or Skyrim.

On the PC, at least, you don't actually have to press your action button to use a ladder. You just walk into it.

The problem with dropping off, at least for me, is when you land, you get stunned for the same time it would take to slide down the ladder. It happens whether I roll off or not.

The thing that annoys me with ladders is that when someone is climbing you have to wait for this person to clear the way to use it yourself.

They should have used elevators instead.

I like the speed when traversing ladders, actually. What I don't like is that you're "glued" to them until reaching top or bottom instead of having the option to let go or switch directions. >_>
