Yesterday when I enter a gold level lobby I personally saw/heard two guys bullying another guy just because he was not in their criteria. They also screamed at me for not kicking him out. I logg off the lobby and thought that was so stupid to participate.
I'm a N7 level 120 player and I do not support mobbing. I hope more high level player support this and condemn any kind of bullies.

A serious team of N7-60-120 players asking an N7-1-10 to leave a Gold match is not 'bullying,' its smart/fair. I mean yeah, they shouldn't be smack-talking him, but he should have had the sense not to be there in the first place, and to leave if asked.
This isn't CoD where a low leve doesn't determine anything but your access to a selection of more or less similar guns. In this game, your level determines the overall strength of your character, his/her selection of powers, and the overall effeectiveness of those powers.
So even if an N7-70 player is using a Level 5 Character, chances are that N7-70 player is going to have his head handed to him in a gold match, simply because of the overall weakness of the character.
Low Level Characters are not for Gold matches, and frankly not even really for Silver either.

The are truth in what you are saying. But, it doesn't give any person/player the right to scream at other, no matter the situation. You weren't there. It was extremly hostile. If these people did this at my workplace i will fire them instantly for inappropriate behavier.

Tip: Find friends that you can regularly play with (it's fairly basic advice but you did mention you were new to MP gaming). It was a godsend with the Multiplayer demo, we sat in XBL party chat and locked down sections of the map easily on silver and managed a good few waves on Gold.
Sounds fun. It's really hard to find good and nice people to play with. Hook me up if you want. My name in origin is suprhomre.

Not really it's just how some people are when they're anonymous. The same way I doubt all the elitist on these forums talk the same way about casual gamers and fans of multiplayer games when they actually are with them face to face. I can't lie I usually am really pissed off when I enter a silver lobby and see a level 1 N7 rank but I usually just drop the match if I have my mic on I'll say something like " Hey dude it's not a smart idea to try silver when you're only so and so level" no need to be verbally abusive.

Still there is no reason ANYONE should even be in Gold without a Level 15 character and a useful skill maxed (Cloak, Stasis Bubble, Flamethrower Turret etc.).

Shouldn't it be in the same little menu as the Kick button?
@Volus Warlord
Some games are in a way so that muting them isn't enough if they're hell-bent. You'll come across a lot of people in Red Dead Redemption MP that seem like the only way they can have fun is by ensuring everyone else has a ****ty time.

I am not sure what the level requirements or recommendations are for gold, but the moment i hit level 10, i move to silver, i assume thats when i should be at silver.

I never understand the whole need to bully, i mean, can they hate their lives that much that they got to make others feel like crap to feel good themselves, thats quite pathetic.

I myself did about 50 bronze and only after I got a character at level 20 did I go to silver and gold. That is because I know I'm not that good. I do recommend people to go to silver when they are at level 15 and above. If you are really confident in your skill why not gold. Also, I take it as a challenge whenever I see player with characeter below 15 at silver or gold. It makes me extra sharpe and honestly some people really kick-ass no matter what character or level but they are extremly rare.

Yesterday i started to lv up my salarian infiltrator right in the silver difficult, at lv 4 (i'm N7 90+), and I manage to take the first place despite the high lvs (15~20) in the team.
I agree though that the low lv characters, even in the hands of a experienced player should not venture in gold difficult.

Answering to your other post in the other thread, I don't know if I will be able to be there tonight, but anytime you see me online, send me an invitation. If I'm already in a match, try to join me. In case the match is full, then I won't be able to join you, but be sure that I'll invite/try to join you if I see you online. I'm not that good either. I usually get the 4th place after the match, but a little of the "guilt" for that is because I usually play as engineer, and instead of going "kill-hunting" I try to stay with the other team members helping them, giving cover, supressive fire, trying to outflank the enemy, etc... Even when I play with the other classes, I got "engineered" and just give support for the team. I don't care for how many enemies I killed, but I do try to kill "key" enemies like the cerberus engineer because of his turret, the turrets, and Phantoms. Atlas are very slow, it's easy to run, kite, hide, wherever. When engaging the enemy, I mainly focus on taking down shields/barriers, and I don't know if this gives any xp/creds...
On topic now: I hate bullies no matter where. I used to be bullied a lot while on primary school, I was the fatty/nerdy kid. Now that I'm 27, practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Chinese Wushu (Kung-fu), things got a "little" different IRL. And about the game, if a level 1 shows up in a gold match, I think we should just try to explain that probably his/her character wont be able to survive for too long, and this may make him/her get frustrated while playing. But I sometimes try to do gold runs alone with my lower levels characters, of course I usually die in the first minute (or 10 seconds). But what's the difference? It's just a game. IMO, the fun is in playing it, not winning or losing.
Of course, when you really wanna do a "perfect" gold run, I think it's easier to make a private match, and invite friends that you know are prepared for that. Then, discuss the strategy while in the lobby, and go for it. In a "perfect" gold run, it's easier to set the mic to always on. If the voice chat is working, because lot's of times I just couldn't listen to what other people where saying, and I could see their "sound" icon indicating they where talking.
Ok, it's a nice wall of text I think.

I think you and I suite each other in terms of gameplay. Mostly I can play any class, I see only benefits of them all. But, My favourite is Krogan soldier (I'm not good with him though, the melee things is really hard). Otherwise, all classes compatible with a shotgun is fun.
On topic. I'm thinking of running a team later on. Mostly on silver or gold they are very nice people. You are welcome to join us.

Enough is enough. For a few days ago I personally started a few tread asking for high level player to play on silver and gold with me. Instead i got a lot of post saying there are bullies in the lobby and I'm one of them for making such a demand. i apologize for that. I did not experience any kind of bully in my MP. Maybe that is because i got in early and the mp part was not available for the public when I started. Also ME3 is my first mp experience. Anyway, there is truth in these peoples claim.

Second of all, low level randoms should not be playing silver or gold. It doesn't matter if they are experienced in the game, a higher level character is needs to be effective. This doesn't mean they should be bullied, but I often ask people to boot low lvls if I'm in a silver lobby. Unfortunately, no one ever does, so I just quit and find another game. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to put in the time and effort in a silver match, practically down a player from the start, just so someone can level fast.
I'm not a jerk that will yell at people though, I actually just use my mic to relay important info. Anyone that want's to play silver with a lvl 20 engineer, hit me up.
